@@TrainspottinginSweden Thanks for your reply. That's interesting because I also have the Panasonic S5 with kit lens, but I haven't used it much for video yet. I usually use the Panasonix G9 for video work. It also gives excellent results, even with it's micro 4/3 sensor. I live in Ireland where only the lines around Dublin are electrified; long distance trains are diesel operated. We don't get much snow, but plenty of rain!

@@williampower3659 Most of my videos are shot on a GH5. The Panasonic m43 cameras are great for video. I am looking forward to seeing the new features on the GH6 later this year. The S5 is quite good at video as well, but full-frame gear is so much more expensive, and heavier to lug around, so I am mainly sticking with m43 for now. Also, I'd bet trainspotting in the countryside on the emerald isle is beautiful!

@@TrainspottinginSweden Thanks for your comments. I once owned a GH4. It was good but it did not have image stabilisation. There are many nice scenic areas on the Emerald Isle, but unfortunately not many of them have railways. The view ftom many trains is of farming land with cattle and sheep and some crops, but no mountains.

I forgot to mention that I also have an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II. A good camera, but the menu system is complicated compared to the Lumix cameras. It's useful that Olympus and Panasonic lenses are interchangeable.

Hmm .. I realized somewhere before that there would be a big shunting yard in Sävenäs, apparently this is someone else or is it elsewhere? That commuter depot looks newer, has the purpose of the yard changed to the depot? 🤔

The hump yard/shunting yard is still there. It is partly parallel to this area and east of it.
