These videos are great to watch. My late Grandfather Sam McInerney from Limerick worked for CIE driving a yellow inspection car for about 45 years and retired in 1993. I used to show him videos like this which he enjoyed a lot. Reminds me of him watching these. My Uncle Jimmy McInerney was an engineer as well if I remember correctly, retired from the job these days. Great job with the videos.

Hi Tom it sure was. Were now importing sugar from the UK. All the jobs lost including farmers. Total shame. Gerry

Whats the grey wagon at 4.09 in the middle of the sugar beet train? Maybe calibration of weighing equipment?

That wagon was a prototype for beet haulage but never happen
