Trains in South Australia: Pichi Richi Railway's Twilight Explorer

The Pichi Richi railway offers tourists a pleasant journey through the flinders ranges on the Twilight Explorer, that operates from Quorn to Woolshed Flat and return. Normally hauled by the Brill Railcar, this run featured the sole survivor of it's class, NT76 on the lead.

As a cadet production engineer/apprentice fitter and turner at Tulloch Ltd, Sydney, I worked on the building of the first few NT series locomotives (beginning with NT65). I even had a very short drive of one from the Engine Shed to the Engine Test stand. Ahhh! They were the days! Regards, Peter
