is there any guide or manual to how operations might work on this route?

@voidwalker9223 Well, my response is a year late, but operation wise, it's pretty simple. You have the engine shed in Keane, so that's where every day starts and ends. Then you have 3 logging camps. I'd say roughly 30 cars can be filled at each 1 at any given time. I'm no expert in how long that would take, but I would assume that could be done every 1 to 2 days. Operation wise, it would just be just running empties from beaver cove yard up to a logging camp, then grabbing the loaded train and running it back to beaver cove for unloading. Then, running your locos back to Keane. I'd say that's a decent day of operations on the Eagle River. Tourism wise, I'd say your trains run from beaver cove all the way to the camp a wye, or further down into Keane and back. My only issue with he tourism stuff is that there was no place to properly store their steam engines. There are 3 engines that are now cannon to the route. K&L made all of them. You have a 2-8-0, a 4-8-0, and a 4-6-4t. With that, you have the respective passenger equipment. So, I built the steam engine complex to give all of them a nice home.

@@axis3039 thank you for the response. I’ll have to check out the steam locos and add them in. Do you think the logs would take about a day to load up and be shipped next day? Also noticed as you mentioned the wood chip areas for loading and unloading at the NG railroad. I was going to attempt to run those but not sure what NG locos I would use? There really doesn’t seem to be many out there even for real railroads…at least diesel ones. I would assume they use some kind of special moving machines instead?

@voidwalker9223 Honestly, I never run the narrow guage because I forget it's there 99% of the time. But if you're on a budget, the best website you can go to is www.trainz-forge.com. They have a ton of freeware stuff. Both in Standard and Narrow Guages. Highly recommend it, as they've got a lot of stuff you probably wanna run anyways, like the UP steam program stuff and SP Daylights. They really have a bunch of everything ranging from the beginning of Steam up until the Deisel era roughly in the 70s. Anyway, enough of me foaming over a website. If you can't find anything you like on Trainz Forge (which isn't likely), then try the DLS. Look up D&RGW Narrow Guage. That'll give you stuff used on the Rio Grande like the K36s and stuff.

@@axis3039gottya good information. Just one more question. What exactly is the “brake car” that comes with the route used for? It’s a MOW machine but why the name? Is suppose to serve as a caboose for this railway?
@axis30392 ай бұрын
@voidwalker9223 So you can more or less think of the brake car as just a regular caboose in that it would provide a platform for the brakemanto be able to watch over the train and make sure nothing goes wrong. However, on the break car, you will see that it has an air compressor along with two other tanks on it. These are in the case that if a train gets detached from the engine, the brakeman is able to apply the air brakes and stop the train and avoid a run away. In terms of normal operations, it just provides an extra level of safety and braking power. Loaded log trains are very heavy!

When will this route be available for TRS19? And be available on Jointed Rail?
@axis3039 Жыл бұрын
It was originally created and released for Tane way back in the day. As far as I’m aware, JR has no intentions of revamping the route for trs19 or trs22, however the route works just fine in both trs19 and trs22. The downsides would be the older assets such as the trees. To that effect, it’s very easy to swap out textures and assets using the bulk asset replacement tool in surveyor mode. Happy railroading!

I do have the route. I got it when I had Tane. But I upgraded to TRS19 a couple years ago. I heard from a few people that there was an updated version of this route coming out and I got excited as I want the updated version badly. So this version with the engine house at Myrtle Creek is not going to be available to the public?
@axis3039 Жыл бұрын
@@imagreatbigman sadly I don’t know of a way to make it public, but I’ll see what I can do for you. Dm me on discord. Axis3039 #3309 and when I get back from vacation this weekend I’ll try and send you the session

Just purchased Trainz 2022, looked at purchasing this route and it hasnt been updated since 2018, where can I obtain this version?
@axis3039 Жыл бұрын
Yes. You can still download the route and it will still work in Trs22 just fine. You may have to hunt down some of the dependencies but I have run the route in 22 without any issues. Highly recommend the route if you like logging operations

How do I revamp it for 2019 so it’s not so dark
@axis3039 Жыл бұрын
sorry for the delayed response. I've been busy with work and took a break from KZbin for a while. In order to change the dark appearance is to go into route editor then up in the top left in 1 of the options menus should be an option to edit environment. You have to fool around with the time and color settings for the route. Its a bit complicated if you've never done it before so i recommend watching KZbin video tutorial on how to do that. Good Luck!
