There's actually one myth I submitted to them that sadly didn't get tested. I was watching a show called, "Train Wrecks" on Fox Reality Channel and they blamed three crashes on a kink in the air brakes causing the brakes to fail, but another documentary on the History Channel said, "This system is fool-proof, because if any problem occurred, such as a kink in the air hose, it would cause the brakes to be applied." I wanted them to test both theories to see which was true. (Probably the History Channel one.)

Trainfan1055 The kink in the hose can actually cause a problem. Since the brakes are pressurized and releasing the pressure applies the brakes, a kink in an air hose could trap pressure in the brake pipe and the brakes would not apply past the kink.
