Because once I get a single dosage of angst, everything crumbles down in the worst ways possible (TW: Sensitive content): Yamaguchi never crossed paths with Tsukishima following this lifetime, but even after this lifetime ended, Tsukishima's soul could never forgive himself. While Yamaguchi's soul continued with life, Tsukishima's didn't. Or at least, it didn't for too long. In every life, if his spirit couldn't find Yamaguchi's spirit, the guilt would consume him whole in different ways and he would end his life, trying to go into another life in hopes to find Yamaguchi's soul. If he never finds Yamaguchi's soul following that lifetime, *then he ends up being thrown into this endless loop of his own mistake forever.*
