Craig was such a sweetheart but he was NOT cut out for this game

Great interview with Craig. A true gent and a true faithful!

Craig threw his mate in the game, Nigel, off the bus yet chose to trust a little fox and being played at the end.
@randomnerd23327 ай бұрын
tragic part is if it was Nigel & Craig as the very last 2 I think Nigel would be willing to give a cut to Craig, Nigel seems like he didn't really need the money like others did and was committed to make to the final with both Alex & Marielle

He inadvertently foreshadowed his ending in the shield elimination game, saying "I was only the runner up because I'm not a threat". Great pod and bless him, he obviously was more wily than his edit portrays. Seems like a really decent guy

Brilliant interview! Love the insight into Craig’s experience on the show. I could barely watch the last round table - just felt so gutted for Craig 💯:/

Craig was my favourite! it was such a shame he didn't get too much air time at the beginning, my family and I affectionately named him "The Professor"
@thetraidarpodcast6 ай бұрын
Yeah, he definitely wasn't given much air time early on, which is bizarre given that he makes it all the way to the final two. Love the nickname 🤣

Lovely to hear from the charming and delightful Craig - he and Nigel were my favourite contestants from this series.

Poor Craig was screwed being left with Lewis. But tbf he should have believed Lewis when he swore on his mums life!!!e But gg Craig. Faithful through and through.

But to no end .. bcs Lewis voted for Craig anyway !!

Craig was comically naive. I didnt realize that ppl that gullible exist. In a game called Traitors, he lacked the imagination to think that anyone including his beloved alex can be a traitor. He is a true mark
@scaredmuffin63718 ай бұрын
'Comically' naive is harsh. He did vote off 1 traitor in Kate, and it would have been very difficult to know there were 2 traitors left, especially with a murder AND a recruitment happening on the same night which was BS.

I really enjoyed Craig. I believe him when he says he clocked Angus and Claire early on. This game seems so tough, and Alex played a fantastic end game.

Great podcast! Ive just watched US and then Australia S1. I immediately ran to the internet to look for interviews with Craig! We can’t get S2 yet in the US so I’m afraid I’ll accidentally get spoilers here if I subscribe (just by seeing thumbnails & titles of episodes) :-( The US version wasn’t very popular in the US either. Or else it just got lost in the flood of other shows. I think shows really take off in the UK because it’s such a small country and everybody focuses on them. I knew of the US version when it first aired, but I didn’t feel compelled to watch it. Just recently came upon it on Peacock (streaming network here) and watched it and then followed up with Australia. I’ve watched a few minutes of UK season one and it didn’t grab me the way the other ones did but now of course I want to watch it. I’m gonna check out your episodes list and hopefully not give myself any spoilers. Thanks for producing this Podcast. The traders is an amazing show and I wish I would’ve known about it when they were casting. “”normal people in the US version. It’s all reality television celebrities in season two

Lockdown? The producers have got to rethink how to film this game.

The only reason you made it to the end Craig was because you was always playing the game for the traitors and voting out faithful's. You was a pawn for Alex, that's the brutal truth. Was great television but I felt your betrayal it was crazy.
@thetraidarpodcast8 ай бұрын
Not sure that's a fair assessment of Craig. Pretty sure he voted out at least three Traitors.
@TheJohnskinner8 ай бұрын
@@thetraidarpodcast Three how did you get to that number ? He has no option to vote Kate so the leaves two, he voted for Marrile and Nigel simply under the influence of Alex, Yet he voted of so many faithfuls also because of Alex, he wasn’t thinking for himself and that’s why he ended up being in between two traitors, he never made it to the end because he was savvy, it was actually the opposite. Brutal assessment but that’s the game. I felt sorry for him and the smug look Alex gave him at the end was heartbreaking, she played him like a fiddle, and personally Kate was a better option for the money to go to from a moral viewpoint, she didn’t stab him in the back like Alex she was recruited and was not so deceitful towards him. Summary Craig got played by Alex till the very end and that’s the only reason he made it to the final. Not because he was a top sleuth but quite the opposite.

@@thetraidarpodcast I listened to the interview, Craig’s a lovely man if that’s any consolation, I wish him the best, but I do think he should have questioned Alex more, there are no friends in this game, jeez even if I entered the game with my best mate, I’d still suspect them.
@shadowshow701 Жыл бұрын
That finale left me sick to my stomach. You can’t say ‘it’s just a game’. What Alex did was the scummiest, most despicable thing I have ever seen!
@thetraidarpodcast Жыл бұрын
🤣 But it IS a game. What did you want Alex to do after whe was recruited?? Quit? Deliberately play badly? Why was Craig winning more important than Alex winning? He was playing to get rid of Traitors and prevent then from taking home money too.
@Joker-sy4xr Жыл бұрын
No it literally is a game. Both of the sides were trying to stop the others from getting the money and Alex did nothing wrong. She played well and won. Her and Kate were the only great players left in the end

Yup, and the show (and often those making comments) really show just how gullible people can be. You do not just "turn that on" for a game with these stakes, Marielle and Alex are obviously malevolent narcissists who score highly in dark triad personality traits, they're going to be exactly the same in normal life as they were in this show, 100%. Angus reacted like a normal guy playing the game who wasn't introspectively thinking about what he was going, whilst Kate, Claire and Nigel were good people trying to win.
