The reason for elasticating i think is to help with the folding part of the bed as when I over tightened my foot end elastic I really had to push it down otherwise it would spring back!

Give it a few months or if you can wait a year and this will be half the price or close to in some kind of markdown sale from the likes of total fishing tackle or a similar company. I just paid 350 for a Nash indulgence emperor and yes its huge and it's heavy only a couple kilo heavier than this though, but you ain't beating the nights sleep you'll get on one. always worth the wait when it comes to fishing tackle the carp tax is always beyond silly with new releases. I'm not dissing the bed at all, looks top notch but will feel even better when you can get it for 200 pound or more cheaper.

My emperor was spose to be 549.99... I paid 349.99... Maybe not exactly half the price but way way less than that rediculous figure of over half a grand.

@kidfamiliar1989 mate nash have a very high mark up value. Been buying and selling set ups for years and if you go to your local tackle shop nash is the brand they can nock money off. The oval v2 has been discontinued and is still ip for 380.

Apparently the big boys are spending a lot of cash trying to get Carping off the junk sport fishing league in the States! So we in the over Saturated tackle market of the UK can expect some price rises to start creeping in to fund a lot of discounted gear going over the Pond! I’m very sceptical of a few things with these new bed designs 1st the material trapped in the frame, material degrades and stretches over time especially with the rigours of the out doors etc, 2nd how long do these light weight memory foam mattress last none of these companies specified. I’m not convinced your going to get years of use out these and let’s not even go into price that’s slapped on fishing equipment overall now days. What I do know is fishing equipment is costing more and the equipment is lasting less poor quality materials or poor design, in a industry that promotes the outdoors the tackle industry is turning into a throw away society purely for profit.
