Michelle Regis you can’t really it. It’s an emotional response to music and the meaning is different from person to person. It’s a version of visual art where the artist in this case the DJ gives you a vision and allows you to interpret the meaning of his beats on your own. One day out on your head phones in a secluded place and play some Progressive Trance and try and imagine major periods in your life and see if you can flow with it. If that does not work then you can always try “Mollies”. 👀

I know everyone on every trance page goes on about the late 90s early 2000s being the best trance years ever.....and as I remember standing amongst thousands of people at Gatecrasher '31.12.99' for the turn of the millennium, I can only say I agree. However, the reason for this I believe was that back then none of us had mobile phones or social media to build an image of our lives for all to see...None of us were out to gain popularity through comments on photos or videos of our life...Trance WAS our life!!! We were in total harmony and unity with each other, because we shared such an intense connection through the experiences we shared at these events. We knew we had no way of ever reliving that moment again, no matter how many photos we took (with our disposable cameras!) I look at shows and festivals online now and see an ocean of people just pointing their phones at the DJ...yet hardly moving...and I just wanna scream at them "Dance!!! Dance, chat, mingle, hug, kiss, hold hands up together...do ANYTHING because you will never get that moment or those feelings back!" Why do you think so many of us oldies moan? Deep down I think we'd give anything just to be that free again. Enjoy your youth and the music you love! Peace!
