Some of my friends use to say that i am only listening to sad music. But when I‘m listening to these guys I don‘t feel sad, not at all. I feel so much more. I feel comfort, I feel warmth I feel at home. When I close my eyes I don‘t think, I just sit there and listen to this music and know that everything is gonna be fine. It makes me sad that my friends don’t understand this music and its incredible beauty. I hope everyone who read this enjoy it as much as i do Thank you Olafur and Nils

This music is anything but sad. It's powerful, engrossing, emotional, evocative and invigorating. These two musicians use harmonics the way a painter uses pigments. More than anything else I find their music to be simple, highly-saturated beauty.

This reminds me of simple times in my youth before i became restless irritable and discontent. When i used to be able to listen to ambient music in the summer in Hulme in Manchester listening to Harold Budd with the windows open. I'd love to feel like that again. This gave me some nostalgia for those times in the late 80s early 90s. Thank you

i often feel likeif someone asks me what kind of music i hear, i don't answer with Nils Frahm or Ólafur Arnalds just because its more that just that. This should not be compared with some pop, rock or dance music. I think if someone would ask me about art, i would tell them about this. Its nothing to sing or dance along. It's something to reflect and fly away from everything. It's the experience of music that counts right here. Thank you for this

The music feels like a real experience, not an experience that actually happened, but definitely something thats actually possible and you are feeling it through the music, and it's a beautiful experience, whatever is at the center of this lovely experience is something that's too pure to exist in the world as we know it and experience it, but if somehow it's possible to feel this type of love, it'd be a shame if we didn't pursue it all together.

15:20 this song made me cry. the high pich tone made me feel really alone. The piano gave me a confused and distorted feeling, a nervous tension was building. Followed by the low horn that made feel like some forgotten memory just squeezed out the aggony that was long subdued.

This is therapy. I am sure, considering all past comments, I am not alone by saying : THIS emotional music collaboration, and/or also those guys each themselves performing solo - well - it is And has been: So so so healing to me….in such ways I cannot even describe it - but thats what‘s music is for, I play the piano myself, and whenever I feel totally exhausted, overwhelmed, inable to speak emotions - I sit down and play my piano. And some people said, its way too melancholic, but fuck yes - that is raw not censored feelings you‘re listening to. And then again, close friends tell me „fuck, i feel so close to your soul your heart, thank you for trusting me that much to play „your feelings to me““. (At this point, ….thank you, nils and olafur, for trusting, that your beauty of expressing emotions, experience, notes, ideas , all in one, and believing in people over the globe, FEELING it and being maybe encouraged themselves, like I am, to KEEP ON GOING NO MATTER WHAT. Bottom line… Those guys used their emotions, feelings, and - didnt push them away - instead decided to collaborate / or individually took on the possibility, that WE ARE ALL LONGING FOR EXPRESSION OF EXPERIENCE IN ALL ITS FORMS. No matter what society thinks. Peace.

If you have a problem with people that don´t share your opinion, maybe you should review your mental health. This is music, some won´t like every kind of music you like. These guys are not bad but this emotional overacting doesn´t look real to me. So yes - I don´t like it too much. But I would not click dislike here, but others will and thats okay. Edit: I really like Olafur Arnalds but I cannot look at Nils Frahm without starting to laugh.

You got it. When I was a student at University, there was a group of people who insisted that it had to be the Rolling Stones, otherwise it wasn't worth listening to. It was that making of me as a musician. Far, far, away frm college campus life. I'm afraid.
