Good old tiesto sound.. when music had soul and emotions.

I may sound like a broken record but Tiesto did not have a sound of his own. Most of his tracks / remixes were ghost produced. I mean yes, the guy was (is) a great jockey and he knew how to spin the discs but he barely produced any of the tracks released under his aliases.

One phrase - Vengeance - Song to the Siren. Some of us may remember "Lost Witness - Song to the Siren (Fable Mix)" There was never a Fable mix of this, by coincidence two producers Fable and Lost Witness produced a track with the same song at almost the same time. In 2002 Conception UK lost patience and released it as Vengeance - Song to the Siren with Claire Pearce on vocals. Lost Witness' version is from Tracey Carmen who was also the vocalist in Happiness Happening, Red Sun Rising and 7 Colours -- those three vocals appeared on the Ed Barton's Hush Accapellas CD.

In case youre wondering where you can hear the original, its from This Mortal Coil, written by Tim Buckley and sung by Elisabeth Fraser. Released on the 4AD label. This is a great track, but the original is absolutely haunting.

Yes the original was by Tim Buckley but the version thats usually sampled is by The Mortal Coil from 1983. I think the Praga Khan track you are refering to is Messiah - Temple of dreams although I could well be wrong, Praga Khan has released about a billion tracks!
