Hell yeah bro i used to love when JP mixed this with "going through it" absolutely amazing experience along with the soundsystem and the lighting, which IMO was the most amazing lighting system in the city by far! Rich grant wasn't skimping out at all, and he understood how the lighting was crucial in creating the atmosphere the right way! There are a few clubs from that era which were amazing venues with topnotch djs mixing some amazing music, had an incredible energy and awesome sound systems and tbey were amazing without a doubt but the part of the puzzle wasnt fully realized. My favorite club will always be tunnel, i loved the whole flow and energy that it had with so many rooms with different genres of electronic music and a huge basement floor dedicated to hip hop(not my type lol) and obviously if you were into hip hop/rap then you would know tunnel on sunday nights with funkmaster flex was instrumental in exposing and promoting many, many acts that weren't big yet at all, but they put them on the map definitely! I'm losing focus and what was my point lol....well basically tunnel definitely lagged behind when it came to the lighting on the main floor, earlier on it was better but as time passed peter was not replacing certain spots that were worn out or broke and towards the last few years it was really lagging behind even when scotto was doong the lighting. Like i said thoigh it was still an amazing club that will never be topped in my view and memories, regardless I'm getting old and decrepit lol. Im glad i was in that generation as to many into any kind of electronic music knows late 90s early 00s were the golden years and i couldn't imagine how pissed I'd be if there was something similar to covid back then, i wouldn't be happy lol

weed hell yeah, will always be my favorite club, I say this confidentially because the era of big, multi-level clubs in NYC, I'm almost 40 , and my club n rave days are gone, the last good club I went to was crowbar right around the block from tunnel, imho it was off the hook, I probably went there for two years till it closed, I seen tiesto spin there along with Dj Boris, and Dave morales (one of my personal favorites), the vibe and the crowd was really cool, always gorgeous women, I would guess the ratio of men to woman was around 65% women, and obviously the rest males lol. Hey had a fantastic sound and lighting system for the main floor, it wasn't a huge club, but wasn't small. I hated the stairs though lol always easier to climb compared to when I left, I'm lucky to be alive lol
