My christmas gift from my daughter, a 1,4 littee kettle. A comparison between different Trangia Kettles. How a cooking kit could look like inside the 1,4 litre kettle. I like the kettle due to it's capacity, fits a good kit inside and the amount af water needed for both dry meals and coffe on one brew. Weigt for the complete kit is about 500g.

Have not seen the larger kettle before. Looks very good......I like it.

It's a very nice complement or good for a container to a kit itself.

i've had a 1.4 liter kettle for about 10 years and it's a very nice addition to a 25 series stormcooker even though it's too large to fit inside the cooker when packed. doesn't bother me since i use my 25 for car or boat camping where space and weight isn't as much of an issue.

Thanks for your comment! That's what i'm thinking too. In this moment i have loves the 1,4l battle to the RV as whater/cofee kettle. 👍

Hello! Can a 230g gas canister and a trangia gas burner fit inside the kettle?
@Braapncamp7 ай бұрын
Nope, the cannister will not fit as far as I know into the opening.

Very Nice video, keep them coming. I would like to see more Trangia cooking in the wild. I have the 25 and 27 kettle, seems as I need to order 1 more.

Thanks for your comment J. Fielden! Will keep them coming. Planning on cooking as well, outdoor cooking is a favourite on YT, so probably for others too. Dryed meals are not so fun to look at 😂 only practical. Happy New Year and outdoor adventures!

😂😂 I'm in to a series of Trangias since i have a bunch of them. Most important is to get the 690 ready for the spring. It will sit this winter, i think at least. The mean machine has at least new beasty tires.I really long for an adventure on the 690. Ride on and Merry Christmas or God Jul to You as well my friend!

1.4 seems like a good choice for hiking as a couple/pair.

It truly is! Work together makes good 😁

The 1,4 is used in our van mostly. Great size.

Do you know if this will fit on a trangia 25? On the site it says it doesn't fit in one but I'm hoping that just mean it won't pack up into one and you can still use it on top.
@Braapncamp4 жыл бұрын
The 1.4 litre kettle has same diameter as the 0.9 litre. It fits on the 25. If you pack it into the stove it is just a few millimeters to hight to close it snug.

Good film and you have a good set for one or two person. Everything in the kettle, boiling water and prepare food. Very efficient when you add the X2 to this set. Lapskaus - not my favorite, but thats another question ;)
@Braapncamp6 жыл бұрын
😂😂 I need to do a review on that Lapskojs when time is 👍🏻 I don't think it's that bad. But who knows, REAL probably use a Norwegian recipe 😁👀. Have You tasted REAL's version?
@tlarsson55146 жыл бұрын
@@Braapncamp yes, I buy Real and Blå Band and some Katadyn. I really dont like Lapskaus, but thats my view.
@Braapncamp6 жыл бұрын
I like Blå Band as well! I think REAL turmat och Blå Band makes the best meals, except from selfmade with fresh ingredients. But when trekking the weight must be concidered ofc.

I’m looking at this kettle so that I can make meals in it, such as stews and soups. Is the opening as large as the 0.9L I already have? What are your thoughts on possible cooking with it? Thank you.
@Braapncamp4 жыл бұрын
Yes it has the same size and meassures as the 0.9 litre except from the height. Never tried a stew, but it should work. It is easier to stuff the equipment in it than the 0.9l 👍. I use it permanently in my van kitchen now. Boil eggs and coffee in it 👌.

Nice video, what do you normally store inside the smallest kettle during transport?
@Braapncamp4 жыл бұрын
A alco burner in its plastic bag, a cloth or sponge for cleaning, a matchbox. Sometimes a small coffee bag.

Just ordered one :) Is the base the same diameter as the 25 kettle? Just taller? All the best!

Yes,.thats correct. Same base just taller. My 1,4 kettle is now stationary in my van 👍.
