I did get to see her about this time. She was the headline act, along with other performances (I think the Berkeley (CA) high school jazz band). Bobby McFerrin, who had not yet released a recording... The next night I saw Hiroshima in Japan town at the Kabuki in San Francisco. ...as per usual I was by myself, Rap music was takin' off (and I like Rap music too). I was in dental pain... in transition to getting denta caps... both concerts were superb!
