If it is in fact a 455 Big Block, it would have come apart. They cant take all of those r's. Unless its balanced.

+Timothy King , It is a the original engine , no modification ,except double exhaust from 1970 TA , . i did the engine myself at 80 000 miles , just the rings and cam have been change on the engine , it's a great engine with a lot of torque , no need to speed at 5000rpm to burn tires , just 3500rpm and release the clutch

+regis gagne Maybe he's used to those lame ass Hondas and Mustang 302 baby engines? My 76 455 don't need shit to break loose the rear tires and they're new. These guys seem to think everything's about horsepower, nothing like a nice torquey big cube...

The Pontiac 455 is a torque monster... No need to gather the revs... These will do a terrific smoker at a low RPM... Had 2 of these myself... Nice job...
