When you did this, how far down did you bring the glass to get the regulator out? Is the track attached to the window have slots to get the wheels in it or how does that work?

Have you done this yet? I used Gaffers (Stage) tape the length of the rubber lip and on the glass to hold the window in place. Works great. I left it all the way up. Different people on KZbin would show certain parts, but completely skip crucial steps that you need. Try looking at a combination of these videos. Maybe this one is good to watch (he's doing passenger side and I was doing driver side of 1998): Best one, but he misses recording some steps. He speeds it up, so you may have to rewind from time to time: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXzTh4KAZp2Jl5I I haven't done the replace, yet... I just finished the removal. (If you are doing the Driver's side, the middle connector has a side-latch you depress inward (you won't see it in his passenger-side demo) This one is to avoid drilling the actual door. Here is another one where you drilled the door, and avoid removing the regulator, which is extra work. Since no one will see the holes, I may have done it this way, since re-installing there regulator looks like a PITA. I guess I will see: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJnRpZKMpsSKhsU

@@MichaelBuieFilms Thanks for the reply, I did replace it! I used suction cups to hold the glass up bu tape works too. Holding the glass up is the way to go. It was not terribly hard, re riveted, no drilling, looks like it did when it came out of the factory. GM sure made this a lot harder than it needed to be though.
