There is never a debate or interview with a trans person competing in high level male sport. Because they would never qualify against male sportsmen. If you think I'm wrong, please name one.
@Blue24Osprey9 ай бұрын
This person you are interviewing is unable to grasp the word: 'fairness'. When women get displaced by a competitor with a man's physique, it is just not fair on any level.

to say they have faced the same misogyny is also a stretch. Two completely different life experiences. If that trans lady can move through life like a biological woman, then more power to her but I dont want to compete against someone who has had the benefit of male puberty when I cannot and will never match that performance. Also, that is a risk you weigh when enter the sport, your back history being laid bare.

No, we don't care if you exist or not, what we care about is seeing males getting into female only sports and taking opportunities away from women and girls. You are not on the same level as bio women ...not cis anything thankyou. Your male strength and lets face it, masculine physical advantage, puts you in a priveleged place. Disagreeing with you as a trans, is not transphobic. We dont fear you, get ovet yourselves, we women just dont want you in our sports. And who is getting killed....what a load of word salad. Please please have a trans section in the olympics, i would honestly watch it in awe. Make it a male/female v female/male as this would be deemed as fair, they could even make a fictitious country with a trans label. We could use the results to prove or disprove what each side of the arguments states, there have always been new sports tried in the Olympics so there is no excuse to not try this.

@BRINARY-np8ol5 ай бұрын
Yeah exactly the hypocrisy is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to women expressing their issues regarding safety as it relates to competing against a biological man they dismiss women's concerns but when it comes to them as biological males competing against other biological males... suddenly they're concerned about safety. Also now they know what safety looks like but they disregarded the women's feelings about safety competing with men, They have absolutely no empathy for the women when they speak about their plight but these same men who are emulating women ((and self ID as Trans )) want us to have empathy about their safety? The double standard and hypocrisy is absolutely ridiculous, and yet they keep saying over and over again the trans women are women how are you a woman when you don't even understand women's plight, fears and concerns?

Do I understand this correctly that she claims that the ENTIRETY of men's advantage in sports is explained by current hormone levels? In that case, why don't trans-men catch up to the performance of men?
@chris1275cc9 ай бұрын
What's really telling about this as a keen cyclist I knew about Emily before this all became mainstream news and originally she was actually quite reasonable about it all basically saying they were disappointed but ununderstood, and where going to aid in research to hopefully help find a place/solution for Trans people in sport. Fast forward through a few years of pressure from the "alphabet mafia" and now were off to human rights court. Sad. And a waste of time. The "men's" category in cycling is actually an open category she could compete if she were good enough.

She is simply saying that the decisions should be based on the totality of research. What is so terrible about that.
@rantsfromthesofa46539 ай бұрын
@@RayGoodspeedwhat research is needed? Sports has women divisions and open divisions. Women’s divisions are for females and open divisions are for female and males. She is a male, not a female. You cannot change gender. She can live her life as a woman and look like a woman but she will never be female. Live her life as she chooses but stay in her lane.
@chris1275cc9 ай бұрын
@@RayGoodspeed Correction she's saying the decisions should be based on the totality of research BUT in the meantime Trans women should be allowed to compete or its a human rights violation. Do you really not see the problem with that? If we allow this what happens if after all the research is done and settled, which could take decades if ever (because that's how science works) we come to the conclusion that most Trans women DO have an unfair advantage? Does it magically cease to be a human rights violation now, because Trans women are ....er....not human?! What about all the biological women who lost out unfairly over all that time why we waited for the "totality of research"?
@RayGoodspeed9 ай бұрын
@@chris1275cc No - she is against a blanket ban that does not take into account specific personal circumstances, physique, testosterone level etc. The vast majority of trans people seem to recognise that male elite athletes have a major advantage over elite female athletes (I am not trans btw, so I cannot really claim to speak for them). The issue has always been research in to the effects of medical transitioning on trans women particularly and to what extent the advantages can be minimised or eliminated. It will differ from sport to sport and even from person to person
@chris1275cc9 ай бұрын
@@RayGoodspeed Rubbish, she literally says in the interview that HER human rights were violated so obviously she feels she should have been allowed to compete as a woman BEFORE the research was in, and to hell with any biological women who may have missed out.
