And in India transgender is recognised as third gender. We have transgender Judge, lawyers, college Principal and even had a MLA. Indian parliament has passed The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019 for protection of dignity and rights of transgender people.

@ashu8669 Thodi nahi bahut badi problem hai. I think parents of transgender kids, adult transgenders and civil society need to come up and claim the legally provided rights of transgenders. Transgenders need to get out of the mindset that society won't accept them. Education is the first step for their welfare. Also, as a group they should discourage the activities like begging and prostitution done by its members. Focus on skill learning. As a society also we need to be sensitive and accomodating but the real impetus which could change their perception in society has to come from the transgenders .

@@chanchalbpsingh6708 they are not doing begging and prostitution by choice but due to lack of employment opportunities. It's easier for privilege like us to judge them but nobody likes to give them job even in customer service. Everybody respects them on internet and in family meeting but when encounters in real life treat them like garbage

I have seen Shahzadi Rai for the first time. She has a big heart with patience. She explains her pain (and of khawaja sira community) in such a polite way that i have never seen in my life. She is true human right activist. This podcast was my favorite of all time. More power to you and shahzad bhai god bless you. People like you are real assets of humanity.

This is the far far very best detailed podcast i have seen on KZbin on this transgender topic, may Allah almighty shower his blessing on Shahzadi Rai and her community. Shahzad I'd like to Congratulate you and your whole team for the amazing podcast. This video will touch many many ppl from all over the world. Seriously am getting very very emotional here. It is one of the best podcast I have ever listened. After listening every word what Shahzadi spoke, am unable to write anything right now, hope you guys forgive me. Living here in Islamabad all my life have seen many Transgenders getting beaten up by police and these bloody bureaucrats, well atleast i do understand just a little what Shahzadi has gone through in her past life. Two or maybe three years back i needed some imp documents from NADRA office in Bluearea there were to 2 khawaja sira were standing right in the corner of the main door and not even a single person from that office offered any help to them. Anyhow i told the concerned person to at least ask them why they are here, the person was very kind to me and gee sir zaroor help karta hoon, any how my conversation is getting long. Just wanted to say Shahzad you have done a great job son, Keep up the good work. All the very best regards, Love and Dua..

What an amazing episode, and much needed in these divisive times, kudos to you Shehzad for always bringing the truth forward! More power to Shahzadi and the other activists of the community for not backing down and doing amazing work! The last 15 minutes of the podcast (or last chapter) literally made me choke up. If people still can't have an ounce of empathy or sympathy for what Khuwaja Sira people have to go through in this country after watching Shahzadi tear up like that, then I'm sorry, those people are truly heartless...

You don’t have to understand someone’s identity to respect it. Some people haven’t heard a lot about transgender identity, or have trouble understanding what it means to be trans, and that’s okay. But all people, even those whose identities you don’t fully understand, deserve respect. And Bravo to her , she is a intellectual , Brave and educated. Hats off.

There’s so much I wanna say: These are exact words in my organization's Health insurance policy ‘’LGBTQ cases (same gender partners) - same sex partners and adopted children of LGBTQ employees are covered’’. There’s so much talk gng on about inclusion, respect in our offices. Management had invited few LGBQT member from an NGO to give a talk about their lives. It was emotional. And there was so much support and positivity. its wonderful to see the acceptance.

I've silently watched most of your recent work, but couldn't contain myself. Please convey my wishes to Shahzadi. She's a powerhouse. More power to her. This is the only video of yours which I've shared with many. Kolkata is probably the most liberal large city of India, still, her aura & power is like Durga which we Bengalis worship. ❤ Ms. Shahzadi Rai! Hats off to you for standing up for your community, for how you communicated your message, and for your courage to stand up for your rights. While my heart cried for your suffering, you also taught me something - never-ever to give up. Please continue with your uphill battle: it’s possible that you may not win it in your lifetime, but the life is about falling down seven times and getting up for the eighth. Mr. Shaikh! Thank you for having the moral courage to host this podcast and allowing us to delve deep into the evils and injustices of our society. A civil society’s ultimate ascendance should be judged by how it treats its vulnerable, and giving Ms. Shahzadi an opportunity to voice her views was exactly what you did. And I can’t agree enough with your words ہم سب نے ایک ایک پتھر پھینکا ہے - that makes me feel so guilty and ashamed, and so should all my countrymen. PS. If I can contribute a humble bit through ‘Patreon’ for Ms. Shahzadi and her cause, I will consider it - both my duty and privilege - to do so. Mr. Shaikh! I'll appreciate if you will please have this conveyed to Ms. Shahzadi.

Needless to say that I cried. But more importantly, i have learned so much about transgender community and the propaganda against them. I am definitely going to make some "adjustments" in my behavior towards this community. I won't say I hated or disregarded their rights in anyway but I also didn't empathized enough and i guess that's what these propagandas do to a person if not actively, then passively. If there is evil going in a community does it mean to continue to do more evil acts . Its easy to stop an evil act that is being normalised then an evil that is already normalised . Again not defending inhumanising of specific people( trans ) just trying to stop this mental illness .

Maybe do a bit more research rather than applying religious morality, and you might see a different picture. Being trans isn't abnormal in scientific studies and gender is rather a complex topic due so much diversity in people in gender identity and is different from biological sex.

As this is going on in pakistan , a so called Islamic country , I am gonna strictly oppose it bec its strictly forbidden in Islam , and by the I have seen and read its not more than a mental illness

Great podcast and love the perspective inside their lives. I am also a huge fan of Maulvi with an attitude as he explains religion beautifully. I just think it'll be better to also invite him to the podcast and ask him these questions face on instead of just clustering him with the KZbinrs who make anything and everything for views. I just think he's knowledgeable about his field and sometimes listening to both ends of a story are also necessary.

Huge respect shehzad bhai,,,,, I am atheist but in hinduism LORD SHIVA is transgender(arth nareshwar) ,,that's why transgender community is seen as desciple of lord shiva,,and donated food, money, shelter and whoever never do this is seen to be punish by god,,,

I'm so glad that a platform like this exists. This is what will bring change. Inshallah. Previously, I feel like we didn't have enough close access to the trials/ needs of the community

Standing ovation to you both! Growing up in Pak i always saw my ammi always having conversations with khwajasaras on signals even given them lifts in our car to various places. She always spoke highly of them with immense respect and empathy. I also remember a khwajasara named Saima visiting our house often and having chai with my ami. One day when she left, my ami was in tears and told us that she told her the most heart breaking thing, she showed her a tattoo of her name صائمہ on herself and when my ami inquired why she got it, her reason was that when she is found dead atleast somebody knows her name! Allah o Akbar!! In a country founded in the name of Islam, a religion supremely civic and based on human supremacy, a human being, a life created with all its nuances and intricacies is treated so inhumanely that one has to engrave its name on flesh for it to be remembered!! Allahu Yarham!! May Allah bless my ammi's soul in Jannah! Ameen

Gut wrenching. Truth is often very very bitter. Uncovering the the uncomfortable aspects of societies is worth a deep praise.

Thanks for this podcast Shahzad and Shahzadi.. I'm generally very sympatric towards transgenders yet I try to avoid sharing public spaces with them etc. And now I'm thinking why can't I? aren't they human? Thank you for making me think that.

My parents taught me trans are form of god, they got the power of male and female and their blessings are from heart that will definitely affect your life, and i am glad that now new generation and even some older generation are now accepting trans, and even indian govt. now have 2019 act for protection of trans...

Getting to know about a community that exists in our own society yet not knowing about them at all just because they don't get the representation was the first realization that I had. Also a big credit goes to you Shahzad for maintaining such a decorum which allowed her to fully express her feelings.
