Shocking condition. Liverpool council clearly haven’t been bothering with this cycle path at all. In fact it looks like it hasn’t been touched for a year or so.....! 😡

Mate they are a fucking JOKE, only interested in the wanker Beatles, i can't stand those 4 twats.....they want people to use the bike paths, and yet look at the state of this one.....to the left of it is Aintree Race Course, and a busy main road, so for those cyclist that are not confident on the main road this would be a good cut through.....but not while it's like that.....

In Melton Mowbray [ www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Melton+Mowbray/@52.7215499,-0.8776818,742m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x48777d88848615db:0x30e3dc75f1aeda9a!8m2!3d52.766404!4d-0.887126 ] this road is closed to motor traffic (except farmers, pedestrians and cyclists) it used to be an old back country road. I cycled on it a few times and you can still see the Cat Eye reflectors and the apocalyptically faded white markings in the old road. Part of it has slumpt over in one farmers field due to lack in care. But no one cleans the gateways for people walking or cycling which is pretty sad.

It is very sad. So many beautiful routes and roads to travel and no care at keeping them clean. Back in America (in some states it still happens) but in the past criminals were made to be escorted with police and they would have to clean up all the countries roads and sidewalks free from litter, and overgrowth in trees. Shame they dont do that anymore (in some ways I can understand why).

Someone doesn't care about us, what happens if someone gets hurt while on the path.

Zipp 2001 They will sue the council, and they will have to pay out, which would probably cost more than maintaining the path.....

This is what is known as tokenism - throw some money at it for a half arsed job and look away at getting more money for something that brings celebs, money and photo ops.

I would say that in the light of all the cuts by tories then although I love cycling and these routes that maybe money has gone to higher priorities like social care for the elderly and disabled. I cycled down here for first time the other day and it is still as bad . I do beleive it is very important though these green spaces though for our mental health . Ofcourse for our physical health too . And it does save the nhs lots of money in preventative medicine

Cuts by Tories. Lol. Liverpool is a communist council.
