Thank you for saying this. There is a difference between women and trans women. Dylan definitely plays up caricatures of women that are untrue and misogynistic. When I see trans women having compassion, understanding, and respect for women it is easy to see them for who they are and welcoming them into womens spaces.

Dylan had an incredible opportunity to spread a real message here and squandered it instead. What a shame. How about we write a song about being a man- some of the lyrics can include: “Monday morning, out of bed; Feet hit the floor and I farted. On my way to use the bath; hand down my pants to scratch my ass…” The lyrics to Dylan’s song read like this to me. It’s a disgusting overgeneralization of a stereotype of what being a woman or a girl is.

In our frustration and anger it is so easy to forget that the people who upset us are ultimately people at the end of the day with feelings. Thank you Alexis for not being afraid to call out the bad behavior of people in your own community even if it means getting backlash for voicing your opinions. However, when I watch first watched one of your videos, my opinion on trans women completely changed and then I realised I had been put off from supporting trans people because of Dilan and a lot of trans influencers I has seen online. Yet because this is Dylan we just have to put up with it. Why is she demanding everyone be so accepting of her but she doesn’t have to do the same for us. The reason I LOVE Alexis so much is because she is the True representation of a True Trans Woman and just think she is amazing. She takes Biological womens feelings into account and does not try to deny facts. She does not mock women she simply wants to be accepted while also being respectful. Alexis you are 1000% are accepted and you absolutely are a woman. A very beautiful and kind woman. Yes a Trans woman but still very much still a woman. However I do not feel that same way about Dylan and I just wish that Alexis was the one in Dylan position. He then poked fun at women. It went viral. Previously he'd been pretty much a non-entity with bit parts on stage and numerous appearances on game shows (see his appearance on the price is right. Cringeworthy). So overnight he amassed a huge following and he made another. It grew into "day 1 of being a girl" ..."day 12 of being a girl" thing. He actively sought sponsorship deals - possible because he was trending - and discovered "being a girl" was very lucrative. Watch. When the money, fame and attention dries up, his next performance will be "day 1 of being a boy again..."

Yes! My first encounter with a trans woman was the saddest experience ever and I carry her in my heart, always. I was training as a nurse and doing a placement on an orthopedic ward. Most of the female patients in the bay were elderly with broken hips. One of my female patient's was Trans. She had a very masculine look about her so the other female patients kept complaining. I spent a lot of time with my trans patient and it turned out she was in hospital because she had fractured her hip and leg. This poor Trans woman had cancer in her bones, metastasized from breast cancer... Genuinely, welling up as I'm writing this... Her breast cancer was being fed by her hormones, so she'd had to stop her hormone therapy and the consequences of that was that some of her masculine features started to return. This amazing Trans woman, had fought to transition and be accepted back in the early 2000's when people weren't as accepting. She finally got to live the life she wanted, and needed, for life to be so cruel to her. She was ostracized by almost everyone she knew. I was with her when she died because I couldn't stand the thought of her dying alone. That lady taught me so much about what it's like to be Trans and I will always be grateful and inspired by her. There are always a handful of patients that we never forget and this beautiful soul was one of mine.

As another trans man, 2 years into HRT, in a red state where I have to use a public restroom at work everyday. I’m gonna pass on some advice to my brother here. The most awkward part is waiting for a stall to open. Take out your phone and lean against the wall. Play games or reply to texts, just look distracted. Wearing headphones helps too. No one’s going to wonder why you aren’t using a urinal, they’re gonna assume you have to crap. Men also pee in the stalls with the door closed or open all the time. Some like the extra privacy the walls provide. No one comments on it. Getting your period is awkward cause of the rustling. I’d recommend pocketing your waste from that till you’re outside the restroom if possible cause most stalls don’t have personal waste bins. But again, headphones help there cause you aren’t as aware of the noise you’re making. And no one’s ever commented on it to me. Hope this has helped

I am a 50 year old biological woman. I’m also a lifelong conservative. For the majority of my life, I have known trans women through work, the gym, basically all of the places you interact with people. Never, in the first 40+ years of my life, did I ever feel any negative feelings towards trans women at all. I never felt threatened, afraid, uncomfortable, or hateful towards any trans woman I can ever remember knowing. That is because every single one of them I ever knew just wanted to be a woman, and fit in just fine with the rest of us. These were truly trans women and, as a conservative, I can assure you that none of my conservative friends felt any differently than I did. We certainly didn’t hate trans people. As an outsider looking in, it is like trans women ( and men) have done a complete 180 on public behavior. Now, instead of wanting to be one of the women, and join the sisterhood, for lack of a better word, now it is all about “activism.’ It’s about trying to stand out, often in a very obnoxious way. It’s about threatening biological women by saying things like “ I will offend/frighten/insult/etc. you, and you have no right to say one word about it.” That is not how a true trans woman or man behaves, I obviously cannot speak for trans people, but I have noticed that all of them I knew previously would be horrified by that behavior. This comment is getting too long, but I have only scratched the surface. I do want to ask, have you seen Dylan Mulveney’s “work” prior to his Days of Girlhood? He was a gay man who would do obnoxious things to try to become famous. I don’t begrudge him for that, but it wasn’t working. He was kind of talented, so things may have worked out the way he wanted. Unfortunately, he literally stumbled across this Days of Girlhood schtick and it became successful literally overnight. I’m not surprised he ran with it, since that seemed to have been his goal, but I also do not believe for one second that he is truly a trans woman. I’m truly sorry that he, and people like him, are representing the true trans community at all, because you are right, it is insulting to literally everyone. I understand thee fear of trans rights being taken away, but with the exception of transitioning children. I don’t think that will ever, ever happen. We are just going through an unfortunate time.

The trans community epecially trans women have a problem with their representatives. Be it Dylan, Blossom and many very loud transwomen more. They are either silly or entitled. That is why your voice is so much needed. We have one trans woman who is going against this behavior in Germany, too. She is loved and respected by many " normal" people but hated by the community, sadly. Although she is doing much more for trans acceptance than the bullies! I see you in the same spot, being a voice of reason. I see you putting so much effort to walk the world as a woman. And I highly respect that. You don't give me these "male vibes" many transwomen on social media have: always demanding and sometimes even threatening women. It is so comforting to see nice and loving trans women like you, Alexis. I hope your channel grows because you are a good representative. ❤

I have seen quite a few reaction videos to Dylan’s song where people seemed almost triumphant about how superficial Dylan’s song is. This is the first video that really seemed to highlight the disappointment, and emotional and social impact of Dylan’s actions. I think they're delighted because the song proves everything they've been saying about Dylan since the start. It's a shtick, making money off playing a role and making waves regardless of the impact on anyone else. Dylan only cares about Dylan and does whatever is necessary to gain fame and notoriety. Sadly this then reflects on the whole community until said community speaks out and says no, this does NOT represent us. I am one of those who has little sympathy or empathy for Dylan Mulvaney because I feel very strongly this is just an act and just as strongly that it is damaging the trans image.

Those on Dylan’s side are missing the point as to why a lot of women are peeved. The fact is, Dylan is known for creating content based on an infantilising caricature of female stereotypes. As a 60 year old woman, who has lived her whole life as a woman, (and who has loved makeup! I have more MAC makeup than is healthy!!) we have fought so long and so hard to move beyond these stereotypes, to show that we are so much more than the tears and the frilly, flirtatious and promiscuous, that we are competent and strong and hold the same capabilities as man in this world, it infuriates me that we have to fight these stereotypes all over again - not just with the young women who are struggling with this stereotype and living up to what they think ... now we have to fight against this stereotype in transwomen as well. It doesn't just damage the image of transwomen, it damages the image of women. True womanhood is screwed. We're regressing, not progressing. Every one of those 'days' is not my life; maybe one or two in the past on the random occasional week, but NOT as is shown here. God help the young woman today. And Alexis, why can't YOU become the spokesperson for trans-women? I'd have no problem with you, I'd love to sit and have a beer (or glass of wine!) with you and talk about LIFE with you? Makeup no longer sits right anymore ... but I have never felt more WOMAN than I do now. And Dylan ain't woman ... even though she says "girls of all ages" ... give me a break! @pneumanaut1 What damages women is having male wannabes dictating to society that they should be allowed in female-only spaces and sports irrespective of how a woman might feel about having a biological male looking at her in a state of undress in a changing room. Or, competing against something biologically stronger than you in a sport because it wears a frock and a bad wig. What damages women is being reduced to a cervix haver, chest feeder, birth giver. menstruator and told that if they object they are clearly transphobic.

We want to be successful enough so we're not living paycheck to paycheck, have a stable relationship (maybe a family, but that's not for everyone), be healthy, feel loved and appreciated and accepted, feel attractive, and have meaningful friendships. Each one of those things is difficult to achieve and is almost a full time effort... No wonder we're exhausted and frustrated! I think you do a beautiful job of showing some of the difficulties you've been through while maintaining your grace. No one person should be "the face of the trans community" because, as human beings, we're all different and unique. It's Dylan's entitlement that bugs me. Like the fact that you don't feel like women owe you a spot at the table automatically makes me want you to sit with us at the table, you know?

Not only making it bad for trans women but insulting to biological women. Dylan just wants the lime light. Dylan doesn’t just want to blend in to society.
