Here is the reason the front kept sliding and crashing👇 kzbin.info/www/bejne/rF7MZnyZoL2Iirc

You're certainly pushing that thing along those roads very swiftly. Impressive. 👍🏽

Thank you, that was on bad tires too. Better tires now

Hey bro. I rode lots of sport-touring bikes and Transalp is just amazing as an extension to those. It does perfectly well for every riding scenario plus its better for unpaved rode than traditional sport-touring bike. :)

And btw, if you lean more with your body (express sportier position), the bike will be more stable on those slippery roads. The bike shouldn't be pushed as usual...

Fir rough roads far better😅 9 times out of 10 I am in love with the road manners, but the front wheel have stepped out more on this bike than every bike I've ever ridden combined. Hoping softer front tire and better suspension will fix that

I'm super happy with my Transalp 2024 and with a 19 inch front wheel,....it would be my dream bike.

You select the best bike, don’t do any changes in your tyre size, this is best configuration, take my words I have 45 years of bike riding experience.

I've had 15 bikes in 16 years, I've had more front wheel slip on this bike than every bike I've ever owned. Including a crash. Maybe suspension, but, it behaves like every 21in wheel I've ridded
@tonyjourneyman19449 күн бұрын
I find that I'm 95% on tarmac and the rest of the time on dirt road. I looked at the Anakee Adventure tires you mentioned and I think I'll go that way (or something like that) when I get rid of the Karoo's. I definately want a more road focussed tire that will still be ok with light off-road. I'm not a fan of changing wheel size.
@DragoniteMotoJP9 күн бұрын
It's a big investment with a big risk. I only consider it because the vstrom is heavy and there are NO other bikes in the category for a 19in front (available in japan)
@bio17910 күн бұрын
I moved from a 19inch to a 21. The way i see it is: 19 for travel that may bring you to some dirt roads occasionally. 21 if you are looking for dirt roads and like exploring and now knowing where you might end up. The perfect solution would be to have multiple bikes for multiple situations otherwise deal with the drawbacks.

it's 90% about the rider and 10% about the bike, and perhaps 1% about front wheel size. Yeah different size and shape of cleats on soccer boots matter a lot, for elite pro! maybe not as much for you.

Big rock moto preferred the 19in africa twin AS off and on road compared to the standard with 21in front. But you are right, how you define "offroad" does make priorities clear. Having ridden this bike back to back with 17in bikes, the road manners are very different. Though I doubt I'm taking a 17 to far off a gravel road😅
@Tisch85-ish10 күн бұрын
Keep it for sure. You have a good base and the engine and ergonomics are hard to beat... Do the suspension and tyres and see how it feels but I'm guessing it'll be a mint tourer! The Africa twin rims fit, so if you could get your hands on the new 19 front.
@DragoniteMotoJP10 күн бұрын
Thanks Ya, it's a big upfront cost but long term benefit. Honda won't sell rims without a vin number for a "broken part". Probably cheaper to ask VMX to spoke a 19 to their existing TA wheels

Im just really enjoying my TA Xl750, even though I never thought I would own an adv bike or soemthing with a 21 inch front. I like it, im not good enough of a rider to fully make use of a 17 or 19 inch anyway. but for the future if im not doing gravel roads a lot it might be a nice mod
@rezangyal10 күн бұрын
Im also curious if a 21 inch with good road tires is already about as good as grip gets, especially since the steering is quite agile anyway for a 21 inch
@DragoniteMotoJP10 күн бұрын
21 is great for genuine offroad and seriously rough dirt roads. If you're only doing gravel roads, a 19 is plenty good. My vistrom was perfecty happy and people take their GS to places i never would. The stock tires are very good road bias tires, I still managed to slip the front. But maybe that's a suspension issue more than wheel size

What do you think of a cb500x as a first bike?
@DragoniteMotoJP10 күн бұрын
Depends what you wanna do with it. But if you are not sure how much road/offroad you want, it's a good spot to do ok at both

What about keeping the 21in front, but putting some 90/10 tires on it like the Michelin Anakee 3?
@DragoniteMotoJP3 күн бұрын
@KazurinRyuu if ikeep the 21 front iwant reasonable dirt handling. I did, however change the tire on front and it helped. Videos coming later this week

How is the wind noise with your cut down screen vs no screen?

Don't get why all these KZbinrs attach their phone to their bike. Your screwed if you get separated from your bike.
@DragoniteMotoJP7 күн бұрын
GPS I've crashed with this set up, my helmet was still connected through Bluetooth. If I'm not able to get back to the phone, I'm unconscious, so doesn't matter, in my pocket or on the bike.
