So I realize these derivations are only valid for a monoatomic gas with electronic spacing so large that only the groundstate is important. However, for a monoatomic gas in which both groundstate and first excited states are important, we must use q(electronic)= g(elect,1)+g(elect,2)exp(-E(elect,2)/KT.. Can you derive the thermodynamic relations for this case please?

In sackur tetrode eqn. Why didn't u used standard temp. Of 298 k

Sir ur explanation really good...it helped me a lot...but in the equation its h 3 not h2...
@advancedchemistr7 жыл бұрын
It is fine as i have taken h in bracket with other terms so earlier it was h3 and in bracket it is h2 to the power 3/2 so 2 will be canceled and it will remain h3 only.

How's the translation entropy depends on the temperature... a)3/2logT b)5/2logT c)logT d)independent. Sir, please reply...😶😶

B 5/2 log T
@Manpreetkaur-ff1vd6 жыл бұрын
Advanced Chemistry i was thinking the same but somewhere i read ''logT'' that's why i got confusion.
