I'm not a big 3P fan, but Trans Art has been tackling what I've wanted for ages. High quality Transmetal/TM2 figures! I'm so excited for their upcoming Tarantulas!

When they're done with the show Transmetals I really hope they keep going and do some of the other toy Transmetals. I wanna see their TM Rhinox, TM Terrorsaur, TM Scavenger and all the TM2 figures. Heck, I'd even love to see their take on the Transmetal McDonald's Scorponok.

Didn’t expect this review, but nicely done. Transarts did a good job with him and the other Transmetal bots. Might get him at some point and looking forward to seeing more of their Transmetal II Dinobot they have in the works.

Kind of wish there was a way to swap the Golden Disk fragment for a full-size Golden Disk, since I believe he used that reader on the complete disk in Code of Hero. But aside from that and the robot head size, this is really cool.

Yes! I actually loved Retrax, but only in Beast mode. A giant pill pug reminds me of some kind of b movie monster.

I just got my copy. It looks like an updated version with the T Rex, torso, and robot eyes filled in with actual solid cartoon accurate details without the need for stickers so that they don’t look empty when the lights are off. Only thing is mine didn’t come with light up features. The compartments in both the beast and robot heads that hold the light hardware were empty. Ehh, at least his eyes look good now. You win some you lose some. Still a great figure.

I'm into some different figure collection but Transformers is the only one where the better figures (in most cases) com from 3rd and 4th party companies. For those who are still skeptical, I encourage you to give them a try, you get extra features, better paint job, better scale and for much economic prices

Transart is definitely a solid 3rd party company to buy from. I have the rattrap and it’s a really good figure and even with the bulky backpack I can still get him into good poses and with the included stand even more options, also it has a stand adapter for MP Dinobot so he can ride him in rat car mode. I’m looking forward for the megatron arriving and they also have images of a transmetal 2 Dinobot and transmetal tarantulas which look awesome. I will say their optimal Optimus is probably their weakest offer it’s a very mixed figure and I think the transmetal optimal has some leg issues but the rest are solid pick ups when in stock. Really wish cheetor would come into stock

I'm not into third party figures but I really love what TransArt was doing. I just wish that these figures also have a main line scale, because (probably an unpopular opinion) I don't really like the Masterpiece scale.

They’ll probably get to doing him in Legacy. Question is: will the other TM characters be rendered in Kingdom style? Optimal Optimus deserves a second go around in the line to go with TM2 Megatron because that PoTP figure’s just doesn’t suit him.

Pretty certain your information on the eyes is incorrect. From what I understand, only the first run technically had electronics. Technically, because it was hit or miss if it worked. The sticker eyes are part of the 2nd run & the electronics were removed. You and your friend have 2nd run pieces.

According to my friend his eyes were painted over, mine had the sticker sheet. Anyone know if there's three runs of the toy?
