Transatlanticism (Death Cab For Cutie Cover)

I spent a lot of 2011 and 2012 on the road. In one 11-month stretch, I played 200 shows and traveled 100,000+ miles.
When you are away from home that much, you find yourself playing certain songs on repeat; songs that speak to that growing ache of distance.
I decided to record a few of these songs as a free gift to the faithful fans that made such an endeavor possible. You can have them for free if you are on my mailing list at leviweaver.com

I'd say the song that brought them to mainstream fame was Title & Registration and The Sound of Settling. Those are two you regularly heard on the radio. I Will Follow You Into The Dark from Plans might have been their biggest hit though. Their first real hit or any kind is one of my favourites though in A Movie Script Ending. It's one of the first songs I heard from them and I instantly took a liking to the band and their other works from The Photo Album. There's no arguing that Transatlanticism the album put them on the map though as far as regular mainstream play goes though. The song itself though is lesser well-known to anyone but big DCFC fans like us. Great song and nice cover though.
