T. Has a gift of special recognition and photographic memory in my opinion to cover these solos precisely. Excellent!

Thank you! But, I don’t have the photographic memory for sure. I just remember it because I practiced over and over again!! Btw I’m rarely called “T” but I like it. Thanks.

Tucker the Gas Mask great great great super sonic. There you have it. You captured the Most Famous drummer of all time Gene Krupa in his glory. You exemplify in your own way the magnificent Gene Krupa sound. Gene started the drum solo thing going. Jazz with out Gene? no way you must have Gene to motivate. and you right here did the beautiful sound the Gene Krupa sound. I am so proud of you Tucker for your sincere efforts.

This is how Carl Faust and I really learned how to play in the 1960s. Film clips weren't available back then, we dissected these solos by ear from records, then traded notes, techniques, etc. I owe a lot to Carl, Dennis Wysocki, Larry D'Angelo, all top drummers in the mid 1960s. We all went to Floral Park Memorial high school, a hotbed of great talent. Bill P.

Thank you, sounds like I'm doing it right then! It's wonderful that I can listen to it easily on the internet.

@@MrCrazyGasMaskManYes, you're doing it right ! Just reading a transcription gives you no idea of the 'musicianship and overall 'feel' of what's happening. The internet is a great place to learn ! Back in the old days, we had no clips to watch, we had to guess at what the 'sticking' was, etc. Today you can just pause the clip anywhere you want, loop it, etc. and practice. Excellent post, by the way ! Bill P. 😀

Well done young man. You are a very proficient, professional drummer. Your mastery and replication of this Gene Krupa classic was remarkably accurate. And you even respected the occasion dressed the part. Cheers!
