how to transfer a photo or anything that you can print from a printer, onto tissue paper and then melt/transfer it to a candle, it's easy to do and you only need a cheapy candle to make it, and it turns out great!

Wow! Thank you! I've been looking for a way to make a Christ candle for Advent. This worked PERFECTLY the first time! I found an image off of the Internet. Printed it to the right size onto the tissue paper on my laser printer. Wrapped it in parchment paper and got the hair dryer out. I cannot believe how easy this was. I probably saved myself $50.

This is SUCH a wonderful gift idea!!! I just made my boyfriend a few candles for our one year anniversary and it only costed me around 10$! If you’re in the US, the greaseproof wax paper she used is sold here but called parchment paper instead! I was hesitant using my printer on tissue paper but it worked wonderfully! The wax didn’t melt when I adhered the photo trace on either. So glad I found this video :) 10/10 would definitely recommend

Hi! Just wanted to say a bigggg thankyou, i made my 1st candles today and they turned out amazing , i m over the moon right now, the only thing i was not doing right was that i didnt fully cut the tissue paper and i was peeling that off 2 , i thought ink just gonna melt into the candle in actual i wasnt supposed to peel the tissue at all🙈 and 2ndly i just want to let everyone know that i have got a pad of A4 tracing papers from poundland and i directly printed on it, no need to attach onto normal paper sheet. Thank you. Worked great. I used a heat gun. It only takes a moment for the image to print onto them. It rapidly heats up and enough to melt the candle so anyone else using one remember that.

Hello, i have a question. What's the difference between printing on regular paper versus printing on tissue paper and transfering it on the candle? which has a more professional finish look?

!! hi Ola El Chihni !! the difference is...the normal paper will not disappear into the wax, you will see it because it is heavier/thicker paper. The tissue paper is very light you can see through it when you hold it up, so when you print on it and heat/fuse it to the candle it disappears into the wax making it look like there is no edge. it makes it look like you printed directly onto the candle. definitely the tissue paper more pro finish !! 🦋 cheers Donna

When I printed the photo I chose to print smudge the dark area was blotty and I could see that the ink from my ink jet printer ran. Will spraying the tissue before printing with a spray fixative affect the placing of the photo on the candle, or what would you suggest

Hey Neal have alook at tour paper to see ifs theres a shiny side and a matt side. Print on the matt side and dont select photo qaulity try standard print so it doesnt push as much ink out to the paper. Set it to the side and dont touch it for an hour or more if needed to totally dry. I know nothing about fixatives cheers Donna

!! hi Charlene !! The candle will burn fine because the paper is on the out side of the candle and not near the flame. also the tissue paper is 17gm which is very thin. The picture i used is not wrapped all the way around, it is a cut out close to the outline of the subject, so the tissue paper will melt down with the folds of wax. The flame remains in the center of the candle and at no time is near the outside edge of the candle (under normal circumstances) cheers Donna

!! hi Citlali !! no, you really need the wax to make this work, but you could use a tracing paper or vellum it would be an entirely different method. print your image onto the transparent paper of your choice and cut it to fit around your glass and sticky tape it around the back. the candle would glow inside the glass beautifully. cheers Donna

Can you burn the candle all the way down or should you not?

!! Hi Tiffany !! it's up to you, i havent burnt my candles because i keep them for decor only. If you burn your candles its always advised that you burn under supervision at all times. and just know that the flame is only on the wick in the middle of the candle, the flame doesnt go near the outer edge of the candle, the tissue paper is so thin it should just fold away and melt with the wax. just watch it if you decide to burn your's i cant say you can or you cant because i havent, Cheers Donna

what happens when you use the whole candle? does the picture burn?

if you wrap the whole candle in tissue paper, or it will fold down as the wax melts. the wax melts as usual and the paper could stay upright? i only burn the candle if im in the room and the flame stays to the inside of the wax it never goes near the outside edge, but to be sgfe always supervise

With candles like these, I drill out the top of it to make a hole for dropping in a tea light/candle. That way I can just keep burning and replacing tea candles and have these specially modified, large candles ones for a very long time. I use a spade bit in a drill to carve out a hole for the tea candle.

Gday Chlobo im sorry for your loss this candle is perfect we had one for our Dad it was so special. There are a few free programs but one that comes to mind is Open Office it's like microsoft word and has 'Open Draw' feature you may have to YT how to use it but just to get your photo done it should be relativity quick to learn just that process, then you can continue using it for other things. Prayers to you and your Family at this sad time Donna

On some video using the same tehcnique, someone said that the tissue paper would catch fire, that it was dangerous... that it can only be used as decoration and not be burnt... is that true ? Have you tried ??

!! hi Anna !! firstly you should always burn candles under supervision, it is good advice to offer caution. The tissue paper has been used on the outside of the candle in a small amount and the candle burns from the center at the wick. I have used my candles for decor and I have burnt them only for demonstration and only when i'm in the room, cheers Donna
