Yeah, it's true. Like... That's the point of the game.. Eze was genuinely unlucky but Fernandez? Fernandez is arguably the biggest trap in the PL. UTD assets as a club are all traps because utd are just bad. It was exactly the same last season. I literally called it in the bar before the game started that Fernandez would miss a couple of sitters. He will sit in the guys team getting twos until he gets fed up and eventually moves him out, wondering what could have been. Whereas I've been sat here avoiding him from the outset for that exact reason. I don't care what his underlying figures are. UTD have had a way with players over the years that have consistently made them poor and frustrating assets to have in your fpl team.

Thing is, the challenge of finishing with a high ranking IS part of the fun for many players. However, if you're playing JUST to get a high ranking and stressing out over it, instead of having fun then yeah, that ain't really the point.

What I know is for gameweek 2 it's rather be aggressive and use a wildcard basing on who has harder and lighter fixtures or if you had great players you have faith in just keep them and remove only on goalies because if your goalies had no clean sheets and are likely not to have any then better sell the goalie

I know I should save free hit for a double or limited team GW later in the season, but so tempting to use GW2. Man City have elite fixture, Liverpool have a great fixture and Tottenham have a really good fixture. The potential points haul could be near 100 using a free hit team with Haaland and Salah etc

The luck percentage is surely much lower. It plays a part, no doubt. However the same few fellas tend to win the mini leagues I’m in each year and the same few fellas tend to come nearly last. That tells me luck doesn’t tell the full story.

No mate. I consistently rank number 1 or 2 in my office/university/residence leagues. It is mostly football knowledge, interpretation of data, and gut feeling based on learning from past experiences. Some call gut feeling luck but it isn't in its entirety. Pure Luck is when you take an uneducated guess, not an educated guess.

@@devonsims8244 Depends on whether or not you wanna save it for a double GW later on. Personally I'm saving it for a double GW, and might even consider a Liverpool or Arsenal player as triple captain, as they have great fixtures when the double GW should come around. City also has some good fixtures ofc. But maybe some key players are injured at that time, you never know. It could be Salah.. Haaland.. you name it. Teams can be out of form. It's still very early in the season, and that's why I want to wait before I use TC. I want more information than what we have now. And without Rodri to control the midfield, I think Haaland will get less chances than he normally would. He will score against Ipswich for sure, but I doubt he's gonna score 3+

I was planning Quansah to Robinson but checking FF Hub Price Change Predictor to leave it till the last minute. It was suggesting drop was not imminent so held off. I’m a Liverpool fan and I believe what slot said. That it was a tactical sub. Him and konate will rotate. I don’t think slot is going to try and ruin the kid first game of the season. We need him this season and he needs to continue to develop. I think he may play this weekend

I think there's a 35% chance of him starting but I had to transfer him out as I need a 4.5m to play as cover for Saliba in gw4 and 5. If you have a defence then hold as he will be back in the team sooner than later
