This was by far the best video regarding educating us. I LOVE the pre recorded tutorial and the style of teaching. The question and answer afterwards is so much better than the jabbering that occurs on some channels and the time wasted having to listen to just nonsense.

I agree. Cricut training is not very well organized and it's difficult to find videos with good, well organized, and well produced videos. I occasionally get lucky and find a training video worthy of the time spent watching.

Loved this video and the weld, attach and group video. I just got my cricket explore and I’m binge watching how to’s. My first project was a birthday card and I dived right in without watching any how to’s. That was a mistake 🤣. These are so helpful and I’ve watched a few others that would have made my first card making project a little smoother too but I do love this format. Thank you!

I have some of te same issues getting vinyl to stick to the transfer tape, and getting the decal from the transfer tape to the project. I also have problems at times pealing the transfer tape from the backing as the backing paper sometimes splits. Sometimes I need to use a weeding pick to separate the transfer tape from the backing paper

I just got the Cricut Joy. Ive used vinyl and transfer tape for years with another brand of maker.. Im not really a newbie at transfer tape, but I cannot get the vinyl to lift off the back of the vinyl.. Is there any hints to get small letters and numbers to lift.. Ive tried everything that I know how. I really wanted to be able to use the Joy for all projects larger and tiny.. Im really frustrated at this point. other than this, the Joy has been easy to use .

Linda crandall ..I bought the Cricut Joy first just to make labels and cards; then bought the maker for totes and shirts. Now I use the maker almost daily - I started out with the infusible ink transfers - now just starting to try vinyls! You will love the Maker! Lots of videos out there! Have fun!

my permanent vinyl by cricket was brand new. after adhering the image to the notebook and removing the transfer tape; the vinyl left on the notebook the front is very sticky...how do I fix this so that the notebook cover is not collecting lint? thanks

Thank you. You may have solved the smart removable transfer issue. I will try removing the tape first instead of the backer. I was damaging my vinyl using the weeding to help get the vinyl off the backer 🤦‍♀️

Hi Anneline! For anything textured, you will want to use strong grip transfer tape!

Great resource video thanks! But lol, some of these questions are self explanatory if you people would just pay attention! Example: "when do we use glossy versus matte?" Ummm..that depends on if you want a glossy product or not! Thats like asking when should i use the color red vs the color green... Answer: Use red when you want the product to be red!

Welcome to the world of Cricut! can't wait for you to get all the things. Window stickers are a great place to start. We'd recommend removable vinyl and you will "mirror" the image so it sticks on your window from the inside. I don't get these questions. Bought my gf a joy to help with some of her craft projects she does and the vinyl refuses to come off with the transfer tape. Reading the comments, this does not appear to be a one off request. How that wasn't the first question asked and answered makes me wonder if these questions were asked by marketing and not customers.

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.....no matter what type of transfer tape I use, my vinyl design will NOT TRANSFRER to the tape!!! I have used a lot of pressure, or a little pressure,' burnish both front and back of project, or just the front or just the back. Tried cutting the vinyl with the mat and without the mat. Nothing that I do works!! I am using the Cricut Explore Air 2 and I have the machine set to vinyl. I am using permanent adhesive vinyl from Kassa. If I can't figure this out I will be packing up this Cricut and getting rid of it. I have spent two weeks of trying to get this right, two weeks of watching videos and nothing has worked. Can you help me, please?

Hi Linda! So sorry for the issues you've been having. We are not super familiar with that type of vinyl as we thoroughly test Cricut vinyl and transfer tape. One thing we have seen is if you lightly use a blowdryer after you have burnished on the transfer tape, the adhesive will sometimes lift up onto your tape! Definitely give that a go and see if it helps!

Smart Vinyl, meant for cutting without a mat, is intended for use only with Cricut Joy. You can cut Everyday Vinyl on Cricut Joy using a mat, however.

There is no joy and getting to learn how do use a cricket machine. I have seen smart vinyl in the larger size am I not supposed to use a mat on the maker. finding the whole experience of using cricket so frustrating!

Hi Jan! Look on your layer's panel and see what icon is next to the image you are trying to resize. Is it a pair of scissors? A printer? If it is a printer, Design Space thinks you are trying to print the image on your home printer and it will limit the size. Change that icon to a pair of scissors. You do that by selecting "Cut" and "No Fill" at the top of your screen under the "Linetype" and "Fill" options.
