Yes but first do an iCloud backup so the WhatsApp data can be store on iCloud, then do a restore from the data of the old iPhone, and then just sign in to WhatsApp and restore from the fresh backup you made.

Great question, in theory yes since in order to do a complete WhatsApp backup you will need at least 30GB in your Google Drive.

8GB its a lot, try to take it down to 5GB, delete all the videos, group chats, emojis, gifs, etc that you don't need. Clean up the WhatsApp before doing the transfer.

After looking many videos. TIP GUYS: if you already have normal Wtsapp, uninstall it and install it back again, then it will give you option to restore your back up; Because I had the app it wouldn't give option.

If it works, I did it step by step, although when transferring the data it gave me an error when it reached 40%, I restarted the iPhone (I let it rest for a few minutes because it got hot) and when I tried again it worked. si funciona, lo hice paso a paso, aunque al transferir los datos me dio un error al llegar al 40%, reinicie el iphone (los deje descansar unos minutos pues se calento) y al volver a intentar funciono.
