If it doesnt work for you is because you need to follow step by step excatly same as the video. do the steps on your old phone until the qr code session so your new phone will only detect the signal from old phone and pop up the transfer massage. you're welcome

@@ittomsalem3881 Yes, if you follow the steps correctly. A backup is there for safety if you are just transferring chats. Otherwise you can try downloading the backup directly, although Google gives a ton of grief when you try to log on to do that method.

Just to clear the confusion for people who see this, from 1% to 50% the phone is setting up the transfer to start the actual transfer so thats why it goes fast, and from 51% to 100% the actual transferring is going on and it will be slow or fast depending on your internet speed.

It worked well because both of my phones are androids and on the same WiFi network: although, they had trouble "finding each other", initially. (I had to go into each phone's settings and turn off WiFi, and turn each one back on, again.) After the SUCCESS, the old phone is no longer registered with Whatsapp. Just use the new phone. 🎉❤

While transferring you can hold your SIM card on old phone. then after transfer you can exchange sim. But you need to verify number from your old phone.

There's one thing you forgot to mention - that is to enable Nearby Device Scanning option in the Android settings of both phones. I followed your instructions to transfer Dual App Whatsapp data from my old android to new Galaxy S3 Ultra. It could not detect the new phone because Nearby Device scanning was disabled on both phones. After I enabled it in both phones, it connected immediately and started transferring all the old Whatsapp conversations to new phone. This seems like the only way to transfer Dual App Whatsapp because it was very difficult to located the old database file. Thanks!
