I wish it was that easy. Much respect to people that help. My day is dictated by hoping my chair doesn't slip. Especially when I need to get to the bed pan. To all that experience this, my heart and love goes out to yall. Please don't give up like I want to. Love you

Good job. As a Physical Therapy Aide for 19 years- 13 outpatient and 6 in an Acute Rehab for a Level II Trauma hospital; this was awesome to have as a refresher. Don't forget to lower the side table with the water and call bell; she wouldn't have been able to reach those as low as she was laying. Also, it gives me chills to think she may have tried to drink water laying that low! CHOKE HAZARD! Thanks again for the wonderful refresh of a Stand/Pivot- weightbearing, non-ambulatory transfer.

this is why cna work need to start out at $20 hr!!!!!! Nothing less, i dont care where you work, state ect. Its physical demanding. I dont care how well you do the skills, being on your feet, lifting, moving all day is bad for your back anyway. Guess somebody got to do the job!!

“Scoot to end of chair”… many patients can’t scoot. Also some have an arm injury and can’t brace. But thanks for making the video.

What about when patients have night stands beside their beds and you donot have that much space to transfer that way?

It's so deferent with a real patient where they can't slide themselves to touch the ground and so much more. This really it's not e real demonstration.

Provided a patient has the wrist strength to keep their wrist straight and using the arm closest to the edge of the bed, has anyone considered having a patient placing their elbow on the bed while making a fist, then taking the palm of the other hand placing it on the fist and pushing with both arms to elevate the person? Personally, I find if I cross my chest to push myself up I'm only able to elevate the shoulder about 3 to 4 inches off the bed which is difficult for me. Using the fist/palm combination along with the elbow elevates the shoulder about 12 inches making it much easier. This way I'm able to use the combined strength of both arms.....Errol

I need help I'm a caregiver and I have no CNA license, my patient has currently stopped being able to stand or put any pressure on feet (shes retracting due to age) and cant use any limbs to help me. how can I bare 180lbs on my own? I cant use a gait belt on her its rough on her more than me. I tried talking to my company about having help In moving my patient but I am the only caregiver and they say I'm moving her correctly when watching me. But my back still hurts after I move her. Can anyone help me? I can't pivot correctly. I grab my patient by standing firm and squating down ,she can wrap her arms around me (but cant use her pressure to push or help in anyway) I basically pick her up like I'm carrying a baby sideways and I rotate her into the bed. Idk what else to do.
