One thing to remember is that savings can be directly converted to INR only works if you plan to come back to India. Otherwise savings need to benchmarked to the levels in USA. The bar to get into the top 1 percent is very high in US compared to India.

I don't think its about money or saving that much which in any case going to be higher. Its more about moving to a developed country and hoping to settle down there permanently and live a much better and peaceful life. Btw you don't convert USD to Indian rupees when you compare things, that's not how it works.
@100GB2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it can actually depend! For example, if you want to achieve financial independence in the US, it's very hard because you would need to save multi million dollars which is actually not possible with a job. However if u wanna achieve it in India, earning in the US helps. If the purpose is just to live in a developed country to have a better and peaceful life (debatable), it is fine to think about long term. Life here is not really that comfortable as far as married life (without kids) is concerned. There are pros and cons and hence some trade-offs have to be made.

@100GB2 жыл бұрын
If the aim is to do job just for 5 years in the US then internal transfer is the best option hands down! Because you don't need to spend in the US and be in debt for the education. If the aim is for a long term job, internal transfer will just give u 5 years. Now it's your luck to get selected in H1B lottery and extend beyond 5 years. But with masters, you will get some preference in H1B lottery!
