What a great idea in using up all the parts of discarded jeans. How did you manage to sew through the loop layers? I would have been tugging those loops up and out of the way. Another question....as a safety precaution against broken needles ....do you wear glasses?

Hello, I'm not sure if I answered your question correctly. First question: I chose to use the hem of jeans at the side seam. I cut out the thick seam inside. So I can easily sew with Elvira's automatic sewing machine. Second question: I don't wear safety glasses. But I'm afraid too. If you can wear it while sewing it's good protection. I think it's a very good idea. Have fun with sewing.

I bought a pair of jeans at a flea market in the city where I live. to be recycled Every time I cut my jeans, I kept the hem. I have many jeans. So there is enough quantity to sew this bag, Have fun with sewing.

You 'd better sew a latch or a lock to keep the bag from flipping open .
