I follow you and Venerable Michael for my spiritual work. I need to find a workout center for my physical and then a nutrition center. These are my points of focus and where I want help. But absolutely my soul loves you and Michael. You open eyes and take away the fogginess with such simplicity. I cannot become a monk, however I can live my life with the teachings and follow your lessons. Peace, health and wisdom to you always. And thank you for all you give to so many.

I go to the gym 2-3 times a week to get in shape both physically and mentally. I also attend a class where we do arts and crafts every Monday. I want to take some cooking classes so I can prepare more healthy meals 😋. I go to church every weekend to help my spiritual life. These are some of the things I am doing.

I close my eyes at bed time and before wake . I have done as a young woman to now old , I used to reflect on the poverty of Mother Teresa , Jesus, and others of voluntary poverty , and then say thank you , and list all the little things that I have in my head , thank you for my bed , my blanket, my room , running water , my sight , my food , etc , it very much grounds me , I am also thankful that I have been doing this for so long, ..I am also thankful for you

Nick, thank you so much! I totally agree that a good environment is very important. But I also think that it’s important to meet people in person and not only online (as it is very common nowadays). When you meet for example on Zoom that’s already helpful but you still feel some kind of separation. But meeting online is better than not meeting at all.

Yes i agree. Meeting in person is definitely better if possible 😊

I’m caught in a vicious circle with a family member who has a addiction and im their victim I’m verbally and mentally abused by this person for years and I don’t know what to do please help advise me what can I do as I can’t take anymore thank you venerable Nick
@Lisa-k4k7e21 сағат бұрын
Margaret, I felt moved to respond, because I too have been abused, but since childhood. I'm middle aged now, but I kept the same patterns going throughout relationships, until finally I said, no more. It is difficult to break ties to family members, but I had to do it. It is damaging to the soul...don't allow it anymore. Gravitate to people that are like minded and join a group or community like this video recommends! Put yourself first...you deserve it❤!!
@margarettownsley950020 сағат бұрын
@ hi Lisa thank you for your reply I was also mentally abused as a child because of my parents alcohol addiction as a result I’d never drink alcohol my ex husband mentally abused me our full marriage and my son has been mentally abusing me for years now just like his father done plus owes me quite a few thousand pounds like 9K I feel that the only way to get peace is to cut him out of my life and seek guidance from from venerable Nicks teachings and anyone else who has good channels I’ve put on weight and aged terribly this past year in particular I honestly can’t take anymore but this may be a good thing because when we hit rock bottom the only way is up right now I feel as though I’m crawling on my hands and knees I will have to get back up on my feet and get one foot on the ladder and start climbing my way up to some kind of normality again I’m not even sure what normal life would feel like but I’m hoping to find it thank you so much for your msg 🙏🏻

Thank you for your videos Bhante, may you be well. I would like to ask about the 3rd precept. I try to keep all 5 precepts as a lay person and I think I do decent. For the 3rd precept, I am a poly person in a mono/poly relationship and we are engaged and plan to get married. Is it a violation of the 3rd precept (since she is on board with my lifestyle, I have her voluntary informed conset) to have other romantic and sexual relationships as a married poly person? Thank you Bhante

Smurfadoodle bit it's hard to find a community in some areas! (South africa) I've tried a few online groups and sites but it still felt more clinical than communal! It's a lonesome thing! (Oh but don't get me wrong, life is amazing, living simply and being joyful are my fall backs! It just would be fun to share them with like minded folk! ❤
