Try slanting the sofa one end by the window,other on the wall, still with the plant and light behind it. The wall could use a large piece of art, tapestry, and place the mirror to reflect some of the natural sunlight. You are a pleasant down to earth person and easy to watch. If you can purchase a sectional sofa for your living room area and leaving some inches away from the wall definitely it would bring a lot of changes to your home if not your sofa can remove away from the wall giving the area a little more space to place the side tablesat each sides of the sofa and chair beautiful brown cushions what you added 👍🏻 👍🏻.

@@IrmaDiaz-h1l I love sectionals. We have one in our movie room. Since this space is a lot smaller I wanted to go for a different look and do a sofa and chairs. But who knows lol. Try leaving a more substantial space between the wall and the sofa.

You need a rug and the scale of the floor lamp is off, its too lean, you need a more substantial shade, the black throw pillows are not giving a decorative vibe, something with a pattern would be more appealing. Just my thoughts.
