I was fortunate enough to inherit my father’s cashmere overcoat that he purchased in the 1960s. I’ve had the liner replaced. It’s a really beautiful coat. I’m so glad to see these jackets promoted.

Herringbone is just an amazing pattern that looks very sophisticated in my opinion, but it's rather hard to match outside the actual full suit spectrum. Large and prominent stand-alone pieces like an overcoat are a perfect solution to this dilemma, I think.

A wool British warm is my favourite overcoat. Daks. My step down is a conceal rain coat made by Aquascutum. Both are decades old and well made.

My overcoat is from the 1960's. It is exceptionally heavy. A bit too much for today, perhaps. However, it is exceptional quality, fits wonderfully and makes me feel great. 😊

Last year I was fortunate enough to get a cashmere and wool over coat. Classic design and fabrics. I can't wait to wear them this fall and winter.

Good video. Liked that point about length. Many manufacturers seem to be short-changing the customers on length and this is particularly true of raincoats, with many ending well-above the knee. Accessories? Decent gloves and a scarf. And I'll admit to secreting a good beany in my briefcase. Like that suit, Chris.

Parka over tailoring definitely works depending on how the parka is cut and how well you wear the suit.

Hi….this is one of my designs from when I was at Chester Barrie. They sometimes can be found on EBay. But contemporary brands to look at are Mark Powell, Edward Sexton, Cad & The Dandy and Alexander Kraft Monte Carlo. Alternatively you could consider made-to-measure or bespoke.

This is a Chester Barrie from 2016. I would suggest looking at Edward Sexton, Cad & The Dandy, Mark Powell and Alexander Kraft Monte Carlo for contemporary versions.
