It is very well known tactic to separate people. In the old tribalism everyone believed they tribe was chosen by God and everyone was bad outside of the tribe. It gave them permission to do genocide and ethnic cleansing. Countless examples are on the pages of the Bible. Unfortunately this mindset keeps on going until today. People still believe they are chosen by God one one day everyone will be proven wrong except them. Unless we grow up from those legends hatred will prevail.
