This is cool and beautiful but I'd want to move around my outriggers to support shorter stock and add a stop for repeat cuts all held in place with clamps. Therefore while cool the joinery for outriggers doesn't appeal to me as I'd rather have something that slides on the 2x beam and is held where I want with a clamp and have a second clamp to set up a stop block on that when desired and of course the other side would have an outrigger and clamp too. I love the interlocking joints but not for outriggers, work support.

Mortise and tenon is a lost art. They were constructing buildings with it thousands of years ago that are still standing. Nice to see something built without simply zipping 3-in screws into it.

A person doesn't always need a clamp, like when you chisel, but I wonder if this wouldn't have been a little easier done on a sheet of rubber grippy stuff like they put under carpets or line shelves with or a lot of people sand on...
