I came up with a cool idea. sideways used to be sunstreaker, but he turned evil, which is why sideswipe, his brother hates him. Transformers the ultimate guide says that sunstreaker would've been a decepticon, but he hated the color purple. It all fits!

Yeah what happened was Sideways and Hot Shot warped to the Decepticon moon base with Megatron. After a battle where Hot Shot was about to kill Megatron, Sideways knocked the Star Saber out of his hands, defected to the Decepticons and Starscream claimed the Star Saber. Anyway, back on the actual video, I just picked up Sideways. He's pretty badass. The only real flaw I find is the scrawny chicken legs and lack of an actual weapon.

You can fold his 'wing-like' parts near his head and swap them after detaching (left goes right, and right goes left) and put them on the inside (near the head). That makes it more Movie Accurate.

Whats funny is that Barricade's feet fit on Sideways, though once this is done Sideways looks like he's wearing an oversized pair of Nike's lo.

Are you referring to Sideways? Because he wasn't an Autobot in Armada. He defected to the Decepticons before they found out he really worked for Unicron. If you are talking about Sideswipe, he was an Autobot in the movie.

if you read on his box itll say that he was a low rank and didnt have much experience so an honorable death would be kinda pointless, like he isnt a leader or right hand man or anything, i still cant see why they made him die so early in the movie.

from the rumours i hear, this guys in the movie for like 3-5 mins he's my favorite rotf figure so far because he's so fun to transform! my fav's in order: 1. tie between sideways and starscream 2. sideswipe 3. bumblebee i only own 4 rotf figs for now 2.

Sideways does have a sweet sexy vehicle mode... but I hate his robot mode!! it looks nothing like Sideways. :( But seeing this he does have a very interesting transformation process, but I still don't like him. and yeah all my friends noticed he has a Barricade face. lol no one buys him at toy stores, I know one store that is overstocked of Sideways cause no one buys him. Sideswipe = best Deluxe class

You left out one thing sean: he's the easiest to do an imprassion of. Just pretend to cut him in half long ways. i did that to my friend's sideswipe (who also saw the movie) when I spent the night at his place and we just fell apart laughing!
