I always treated G1 Unicron as a sort of “fake” Unicron, a construct built by Quintessons to destroy the Transformers that betrayed them, since they were the main antagonists of the show. The real Unicron would be more godlike, like his appearance in Prime.

Implying he wasn’t godlike in G1? First thing we see Unicron do is engulf a planet, and the next thing we see him do is effortlessly reformat Megatron and give life to lifeless corpses

@@cubeddoubled1543 While those abilities were impressive, I feel like the real Unicron should be way more capable, reviving life using Dark Energon on a much more massive scale. The real Unicron should also be way bigger, and since he is the half of Primus, he should be the same size as Cybertron, maybe ever bigger, not smaller like he was in G1. And he should be way harder to destroy, it shouldn’t be possible to destroy Unicron by entering his insides through his eye and blowing him up using the Matrix of Leadership. That’s why I like how they mixed things up in the Netflix show and made the Allspark the ultimate weapon against Unicron, not the Matrix of Leadership, which is way more powerful and makes more sense. All in all, I hope they get Unicron right in the new movies because he should be something as huge and impressive as the Celestials in Marvel

@@dkkanofkash8798 a) Unicron in G1 is the same size as Cybertron b) Entering Unicron’s insides and defeating him is the way he has always been beaten (G1, Unicron Trilogies, Prime) c) Would it not make sense for the Matrix of Leadership, which in most continuities contains the soul of Primus, the very antithesis of Unicron, to be the most powerful weapon against Unicron?

@@cubeddoubled1543 Well the Matrix of Leadership is just a small part of Primus’ soul and technically it shouldn’t be enough to destroy Unicron’s entire being. Something like the Allspark would make more sense because it is be the emphasis of all life on Cybertron and thus would have enough power to overpower Unicron’s anti-spark. Also in the 86 movie Unicron was big but not considerable compared to Cybertron, in fact he seemed pretty tiny compared to Cybertron, not even reaching the size of the diameter of the planet in robot form, which he should be larger in. And once the protagonists get inside Unicron, it should be a story of its own because it would be a whole new world for them to explore and find a way to destroy to save their world. It would make sense and it would be cool. Unicron is a planet devourer and should be larger than most planets in the universe, imagine a fully metallic gas giant floating through space with a bright red/orange glowing eye/mouth, as bright as a star, killing all life. Would be pretty scary to see something like that on the big screen
