It is in a way. The alt modes are more realistic. In general I think that the Alternator's line is more atractive. But in the end, as Emgo says: "you like what you like".

Does anyone else’s kind of throw the bonnet off whenever you transform it into robot mode?? I’m not sure if it’s just mine or not but it doesn’t look very secure in the robot mode

It's not only yours. I think everyone has the same issue. Mine is not the exception. I try no to remove parts when transforming my figures. But in this particular figure, you'll end up taking the bonnet off, either because It does it by itself or because the bot head gets stuck.
