Not bad...I sorta like what you did. I'm glad someone did orchestral version of the old theme. Yeah yeah yeah I know it's not an ACTUAL orchestra YT, but I still like it. It's almost on par with Arrival To Earth. I like both pieces of music, because good music isn't bogged down by crappy movies and other stuff like that. And that's just the plain truth. This is a great piece of music (would be even better if played by an actual orchestra I will admit), but all in all very good.

I like the synthesis of both scores. Jablonsky's score contains elements that I enjoy, but some motifs, like the theme of the Autobots, lacked a certain sense of drive that returns with the inclusion of the original theme. Excellent work, certainly one of my favorites.

Our only hope for a decent Transformers movie franchise is if they pull a Days of Future Past. Beast Wars: Just follow the plot of Beast Wars, but let them find the Cube and activate it. Because the Maximals and Predacons are Transformers, yet different, this activates a signal that draws in the original Transformers (on The Ark and the Nemesis). Beast Wars 2: Have the Ark and Nemesis crash on Earth and take the Beast Wars Season 3 plot where they have to protect their "ancestors". Boom, you rewrite Bayformers into the REAL Transformers.

For there is a planet teeming with life, one with a righteous people, one who aid them in destroying the evil forces of the Decepticons. 1:33: bumblebee and the military look up into the sky, proud to see their brothers from the Stars, as Noble cybertronian freedom fighters barrel down into the San Francisco mountain Forests in their escape pods. There is hope. The reason I wrote this is that, for some reason why people aren't hearing, is that this sounds very sad to me. It sounds like loss. Or mourning. Or sacrifice. 1:33 sounds very optimistic, but otherwise it seems like a sad score.

For the critics trying to split hairs over his use of the word "orchestral", the word actually comes from the Greek *orchestra*, meaning "dancing stage"; and the Greek *-allos*, meaning "of, like, or related to". So "orchestral" just means "of or like a dancing stage". Orchestral music has that big theatrical stage sound, with the reverb and echo quality. And OV's mixes definitely have that quality. So feel free to dislike the music if you want, but don't try to couch your critique in slams on the labeling. OV's mixes are legit--and oh so orchestral, at that!

Not bad but Arrival blows this out of the park

Look, the Transformers Theme for the movie was "okay". It wasn't great, it wasn't terrible, but it was really generic. I can't even remember how the tune goes, it was that meh.

Yeah. A lot of the films aren't good. TF5 is just horrible. But Bayformers clearly didn't suck. The amount of financial gain that first movie made for Hasbro proved that Transformers was still a viable franchise. Transformers is still here because of those films. It brought in new fans too which is always good. Honestly the films will always be a love it or hate it sort of deal. If you grew up on the films you love em' and if you grew up on the original cartoon you'll hate it. Sometimes there are exceptions. I can understand the distaste. A lot of the jokes are extremely childish. The first movie had like 2 piss jokes, and one defaced a character, the other served as a reference. So glad Travis Knight is doing Bumble Bee.
