So now that the Haslab backing period is over, turns out I was WAY off with my estimate. The final total for everything (aside from shipping from the freight forwarder on the other end) was $403. EVEN CHEAPER THAN I CALCULATED. Am bad at math. Oop.

yeah fun fact about the eb games listing, hasbro is kinda ticked off about it and are investigating it, which is pretty good on hasbro's part, not allowing eb games to fuck over potential backers

I've seen that, and that's not necessarily true. Hasbro US said "they'd look into it", but there's no evidence they actually did.

Sadly i think they put out a statement last year saying they don't support freight forwarding anymore. I am not 100% sure tho and could just be confusing it for something else.

So, hey I'm living in New Zealand, and I got pointed to come here from Reddit. This sounds like a dream come true, for real. @DrLockdown I saw the Haslab project and was so sad I couldn't back it and have it shipped over here. THIS video showing how to potentially get it has given me hope, so thank you man. I just need to figure out how to do this but for New Zealand... Hope I can do this... Great video! Buyee has been very helpful in my collecting the last few years, I mostly use Mercari for finding used/opened toys. I was finally able to experience Gaia Unicron for a decent price because of that, and grab a few Kamen Rider Figuarts. The main thing I have to remember is that the couriers tend to charge duty/taxes from Japan to Canada (especially DHL) so the total shipping is a little more than what it starts out as.

I used a freight forwarder for my Animated Voyager Prime and itvwss worth it. Loads of my friend do it for Animated figures as they're expensive over here now so they're really worth it

Why is SS Mirage being $25 a bad thing? Is that in Aussie Dollary-doos or USD? Cuz here in the US, all Deluxes, which Mirage is, are all _roughly_ $25. & the majority of Deluxes are worth that price. So, I don't really understand.

It would be amazing if things were just normal inflation, but everyone is price gouging 3 to 4 times current inflation and it's been compounded over the past 4 years through constant price hikes simply to drive up stock. In a normal world the haslab would be $100 for both in a nice simple 40th edition box, but people get sucked in that we've lost all our greatest space Technonologies and can't do chrome, back filler swing panels or holograms unless it's for some obscene amount of money, because why create cool affordable toys and cartoons for kids when you got the 20's to 60 somethings with all the molah and a deep hole in their black hearts that need a heaping helping of nostalgia bait to fill... for a price of course. KO's and printing is the way.
