Bro you do realize this cliffhanger was solved long ago!? The novels Exiles and Retribution explain their journey into space and the Covenant of Primus explains how Team Prime divided from the Ark crew and stationed on Earth. This video even references those novels I believe with the Quintessons which are a shared enemy of the Bots and Cons in the novel Retribution

I sometimes click on this video just to listen to Optimus's speech at the end. The rest of the video is great, obviously, but MAN. Optimus's speech is just so perfectly written, and paired with the absolutely AMAZING voice acting, it is just so unbelievably incredible

So THIS is what it intended to be…and it’s a great idea! This short film which somewhat intends to fill in the gaps between the Cybertron games and Prime was really well executed, showing the struggles of all the characters who were lost through the portal or lost contact with others, and I’m just going to say it: whoever did both Prime and Megatron’s voices deserve all the credit in the world because it literally sounded like you hit Peter Cullen and Frank Welker behind the mics, they sounded INCREDIBLE!! You really surprised us with this one and it was worth the wait and curiousity! You never fail to impress me, TFI!!

That was pretty cool! Loved Prime and Megatron's dialogue with one another. Megatron sounded spot on for Frank Welker's version in Transformers Prime. I really liked how all the Continuites were blended together! The soundtrack really kicked it up a notch. There's just something to be said for TF Prrime's music. Great job, man! This made me want to cry, literally I begged myself to cry. The aligned continuity is something precious to me. And knowing that it's probably over is heartbreaking. Why can't we ever keep nice things? It always did a fantastic job flushing out its characters and gave them their own separate story arcs like Bumblebee and his teecog, Arcee and her PTSD of her past with Arachnid and her dead past partners and just everything about this show is amazing. And the orchestra. The Transformers Prime orchestra is unlike any other Transformers theme song. It's so inspiring and packs a powerful message that would make it perfect for any uplifting scene in a movie, or a show, or anything really. Transformers Prime is a Golden Marvel and is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. In the Prime prequel books, Skywarp and Thundercracker are eaten by Sharkticons, Jetfire stayed on Cybertron and it's presumed that when the Ark went through the portal at the end of Fall of Cybertron that a lot of bots got teleported somewhere else and got lost among the stars.

The biggest pile of confusion is, in the prime series, it said that magnus stayed on cybertron with the wreckers to fend off the planet from the decepticons. And yet he was seen on the ship. I need context. As for the combaticons, probably kicked the bucket.
