This is the final battle between Galvatron and Starscream

I liked this battle because, not only was it awesome, it had hero preachings about conviction and determination were turned on its head with the villains trading punches over justified lessons. Though their ideals don't exactly match the owner's. Starscream, the schemer and backstabber, talks about gaining power by sacrificing themselves and everything to get. Then there's Galvatron, a genocidal tyrant, saying it's better to play it safe until the right moment. Pretty ironic yet reasonable.

What I love here is what this is on a Meta Level. Firstly, it's Starscream vs Galvatron, Traitor against General. But then on another level, it's someone channeling the hotblooded hero against another who is clearly the villain through and through. And on yet ANOTHER level, it's the power of Primus, albeit incomplete, against what's left of the power of Unicron (due to the edits made for Cybertron vs Galaxy Force). Both reborn through their power. And on yet ANOTHER level, this is the classic Galvatron crashing Starscream's coronation, turned into an epic battle... complete with crown

Thats true. On the surface he's comes off like a sniveling coward but Air Commander Starscream is pretty formidable. Even the Autobots fear him. That has been a running theme in all of his incarnations, even in the live action movie, it wasn't "Oh it's just so and so I'll take care of him." No, it was "IT'S STARSCREAM! TAKE COVER!" then Bumblebee got his legs blown off.

Plus starscream actually beat all of the autobots BEFORE gaining that power, he fought them to get the omega lock and 2-3 of the cyber planet keys and won

Although this show was done in that CGi-ish format, it looked far better than energon AND the story and events that took place in this show blew my fucking mind. Really epic moments in this show. Epic story to add. Love Starscreams rebellion in this one. He's not a fucking wimp, same with armada starscream. SS FTW.

Starscream didn't fluke the battle. Galvatron didn't destroy him, the power that they both exerted created a rip in time and space and Starscream got blasted into another dimension. Even if Starscream destroyed Galvatron, which he was more than capable of doing, Galvatron still would have come back to life because the black hole that originated from Unicrons spark would have kept reviving him until it was destroyed.

Suppose then it was Starscream instead of Optimus Prime who fought Galvatron in "Unfinished" after the black hole was dealt with, would Starscream have been able to defeat him?

No. Vector Prime evens states that he and the Planet X Tranmsformers were teleported to another planet. And Galvatron even sees a vision of him in a burning planet, that he possibly burned down or took over.

You have to give credit where credit is due. Starscream put all of his energon into the struggle, and Galvatron still came out on top. It just shows you the power plant he's carrying with him, you know?

I think this is one of the biggest cases of plot armor. Starscream was dominating Galvatron during the entire fight. He was faster and used his powers more creatively and even knocked out Galvatron for a minute but of course he had to win somehow because he is almost always the ultimate bad guy.

Bruh how did Galvatron survive that blast in the end but Starscream died? He kept getting dominated by Starscream for almost the whole fight and suddenly wins in one shot and not even left any injury afterward? This is 100% plot armor for Galvatron here.

Starscream did not died. Later end of the series,it stated Starscream survived the battle. And actually outlived Galvatron.

@blindskaterguy Well, look at it like this. Galvatron, in his own words, was holding back just enough to avoid risking anything. Starscream never held back, and as we saw, that meant Starscream had the clear upper hand the entire time. Then, when pushed to the brink and it was clear he'd be destroyed if he didn't give his all, Galvatron risked it all like he had never before. Hence why he won. Galvatron's unleashed power trumped Starscream's, end of debate.

In Unfinished, Galvatron is in space looking at Cybertron and a wrap opens and it (might) be another planet or hell. Because Sideways & Soundwave is there by his side. Just look for the episode here on the Tube(KZbin). And you will see what I mean.

When you realize this trilogy you'll see Megatron is powerful even Optimus Prime, Prime always needed his friends to win, to be stronger (Jetfire, Overlord, Wingsaber, Leobreaket including his super modes) but Megatron with his pride, vanity and arrogance could reach the ultimate power sadly he lost as all the humans who share with him the arrogance.
