FILM DESCRIPTION:
Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and his new girlfriend, Carly (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley), join the fray when the evil Decepticons renew their longstanding war against the Autobots. Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) believes that resurrecting ancient Transformer Sentinel Prime (Leonard Nimoy), once the leader of the Autobots, may lead to victory. That decision, however, has devastating consequences; the war appears to tip in favor of the Decepticons, leading to a climactic battle in Chicago.

4 is the second best. I don’t get why people hate it, outside of Tessa and Shane. 5 can be decent with enough analysis, but even then it’s still whack. It has good fight scenes, but maybe it would have been acceptable if 6 wasn’t cancelled. Oh well, at least ROTB is bringing Unicron to hopefully make up for it.

@@monkeyfromkungfupanda6952 Beast Wars isn’t live action. 4 has Galvatron being a threat (which people complained about Megatron being sidelined in TF2 and 3), it has the autobots acting like main characters again (which people also complained about), has generally good visuals (as usual) and battles, the best villain in the movies (for me it’s TF5 Megatron tho), and the human protagonist with reasonable involvement (Sam is cool, but doesn’t really have a relation to the bots other than being a Witwicky). The bad parts are Bumblebee being a punk and Shane, and that it’s after Bay wanted to end his movies. I’m glad you don’t think Bumblebee is top 3 tho. Whereas TF5 has so many story issues that not even the rule of cool can save it, TF4 doesn’t (and actually makes more sense than TF2, though that’s an unfair comparison).

The third film was originally supposed to be the last in the franchise. If “Age of Extinction” and “The Last Knight” hadn’t been made, “Dark of the Moon” would have been the right place to introduce Hound, Drift, Crosshairs, and especially the Dinobots.

Before I saw Rise of the Beasts, this was my favorite Tramsformers movie, and this clip alone could've had the rest of them be better if they had more robot fights. If anyone hasn't seen ROTB yet, it is good, mainly because of scenes similar to this.

This is still my favorite of the original trilogy. And when you think about it, the entire story behind Sentinel and Megatron's plan actually makes a lot of sense if you think back to the first film. The 2007 film focused on the All Spark being a tool to turn all human technology into Decepticons, had that plan worked, then Megatron would've had the necessary workforce in order rebuild Cybertron and use that as a suitable base to take over the universe. Then in Revenge of the Fallen, the focus of the film was on the Matrix of Leadership and the Energon Machine being used to absorb energy from the sun and collect whatever the Decepticons needed. Had the Fallen gotten what he wanted, then the Decepticons would've had enough Energon for centuries, meaning their reign would remain undeterred. Finally, in Dark of the Moon, the film focuses on the Space Bridge being used as a method to bring Cybertron into orbit around Earth, and have it rebuilt with the help of both Decepticon and Autobot aid. The Fallen was an aging relic, and eventually someone would've come to succeed him. With him gone, Sentinel was next in line to receive the Matrix of Leadership, and with that in his hands, the Autobots would've needed to acknowledge him as their leader. Then with the help of the All Spark and the Space Bridge, the union between the Autobots and the Decepticons would've made the Transformers the greatest empire in the universe.
