i have like 7 Star Sabers but i can never get the Dark Star Saber or the Forge of Solus prime. If someone reads this please help me get those to ive been playing this game since 2016 and i havnt got any of those 2

This game is weird because it has Platinum’s combat, the 1980s characterizations of the cast, but a deconstructionist plot of the current comics.

@@Morninglord22 there’s a running theme thru the story about how the war was based on false ideals. Nova prime in the game is based on the comics version. He is held as this scholar who promoted exploration and sharing of Cybertrons wealth, but over time the cast realized he was just an imperialist trying to take over the universe. Ultimately it’s revealed that all the forefathers the cast was trying to live up to was either not as divine as initially thought, or outright evil and rewrote history to portray themselves as benevolent. That version of Megatron surrendered when he realized he was just as corrupt as the government he overthrew, and had a nice anti-redemption arc where he realized that no matter what good he did, he will always be the greatest murderer in the history of the universe.

@@christopheraustin5915 i actually slightly disagree, cause Nova is presented in this game as actually being a good guy like the g1 cartoon autobots, who genuinely believed in his mission and had noble goals. its only after they find a suspicious robot planet like cybertron that *definitely, totally* isnt unicron does he start to go kinda nuts the descent into madness is shown by how he goes from cyberforming lifeless barren worlds to cyberforming living ones and finally the crew mutinies and the ship crashes

@@larry7869 I’m more talking about how the game is leaning into the consequences of a war with such a vast scope, while the cartoon was relatively blasé with save for a few episodes. The Marvel books tapped into it, tho. Things like how Optimus and Megatron talk about how much they miss their home and how Optimus refuses to put Cybertron before earth, even when the ferrotaxis had a good chance of giving them a home

Why is it so fun to watch Megatron get thrown around?

Because G1 Megatron in particular is responsible for not only being one of the few cartoon villains in a lot of kids shows to actually KILL the main hero of the show, and leader of the opposite faction. (His most famous competition in movie/television media being characters like Skeletor and Darth Vader) And not only that, but he did it in one of the most brutal ways possible, during the first ever series of the franchise, in said franchises’ first ever theater movie. If you could give this game to the kids of the 80’s who were led into those theaters just to watch the literal slaughter-fest that was played, and told them they’d get to unleash retribution upon megatron by their own hands, they’d be over the moons of cybertron itself. I guess what I’m saying is that there’s a lot of villains I’d love to spend an eternity beating the hell out of. But few would be able to rival Megatron in their Punchability value.
