For your Bonecrusher, I recommend thickening those loose parts with floor finish and if the access gloss bothers you, dab it up with paint-on varnish which you can get at your local hobby store

The Constructicons are the Decepticons' foremost designers, engineers and builders. They are also particularly notable for their status as the very first combining subgroup of Transformers. The individual members of the team are: Scrapper, (usually) the leader, a modest but masterful designer - front-end loader. Bonecrusher, a destructive berserker - bulldozer (and later front-end loader). Scavenger, the materials detector with some major self-esteem issues - power shovel. Mixmaster, a manic and somewhat crazed chemist - cement mixer. Hook, a snobbishly perfectionist engineer - crane. G1 constructicons can do a 360 spin in vehicle modes like hook and scavenger, unlike the modern versions.

Oh boy, I remember I got all these at the same time. I felt so lucky! I have to give my Dad credit for knowing what to get and then finding them all. I think he had to search around a few different stores on a mini parent quest, but there they all were one day! I never let anyone else play with these, besides my Dad of course.

I always wanted the Constructicons and the ability to make Devastator as a kid, sadly I only had the cement mixer and dump truck Decepticons as a young kid, sorry I can't remember their names, but if you asked me 30 years ago I could have spouted off the names of any and every Transformer. I didn't know anybody who had the whole Devastator set so I'm glad to finally be able to see this, I'll have to just live vicariously thru you. Maybe one day I'll get into collecting all the retro toys of my childhood when my finances are in order.

I wanted Devastator so much as a kid that I ended up buying the G2 version when I was in high school, which shows how nerdy I am. The yellow isn't as cool as the light green, but it's better than the orange than quickly replaced it.

the big difference between G1 and modern toys is that in G1 they started with the vehicle and tried to figure out how to make it a robot. With the modern figures, they start with the robot and try to figure out how to make it a vehicle.

Yellow Scrapper as a kid, not the crappy family Dollar ones, but an individually boxed high quality KO). Cant wait to see your next throwback

A Devastator...sadly, I am really lacking on my G1 Combiners...as in I have only one complete one, the BBTS Seacons...I also have the Universe Desert Camo repaint of Ruination...:( I only have 2 G1 Constructicons, I have most of the Stunticons, and a few of the Terrorcons, but that is about it I am afraid....at least I have the FP Bruticus, so that makes me happy :)

Great set. I own them too but from G2 European series from 90's that were sold as a individual heroes without an option to merge into Devastator. I had to buy spare parts from KO's or destroyed G1 figures. Finding G2 US Constructicon parts for European version was impossible.

man...i had Devistator...the Scorponok... Cybertron...Predaking....just Devistator alone is going for 500 dollars...image if i still had my whole collection...what that would all go for combined....just nvr had the mindset to save my toys as i grew up....but i would keep em now just cuz of nostalgia...they just dont make them as good now as they did in the 80's...i may of had Omega Supreme...not rlly sure if i did...but looking bak now...i wish i had put em all n a box & n my attic...but nvr did...sad face...wish i had kept all my Voltron toys aswell...again...sad face...tnks KZbin channel for helping me get this off my chest....now i just have Devastator n google search image now...

Cant remember price. BBTS but I will say this. If I got a toy at retail, it would be at TRU or Walmart or Target. If not its most likely from BBTS or Ebay. But I also have a couple of super secret hookups that I wheel and deal and trade and haggle with so if I dont say the price and where I got it. Thats why. :)
