Transformers G1 Grimlock and Swoop voice actors Michael Bell and Gregg Berger discuss how they get in character during their question and answer panel at TFcon.
In Transformers Michael Bell was the voice actor for Scrapper, Sideswipe, Swoop, Bombshell, Bonecrusher (for one episode, usually performed by Neil Ross), Brainstorm, First Aid, Doctor Fujiyama, and Gort. He would return in Transformers: Rescue Bots as High Tide, as well as Sideswipe and Scrapper in the Transformers: Devastation video game.
Actor Michael Bell's animation credits are many including Lance McClain and Sven Holgersson in Voltron: Defender of the Universe; The Riddler in Challenge of the Super Friends; Drew, Chas, Boris in Rugrats; and Quackerjack in Darkwing Duck and DuckTales (2017). Michael Bell's on-camera credits include the sitcom Three's Company.
In Transformers Gregg Berger was the voice of Primacron's assistant, the Sentinels, the Golden One, Grimlock, Skyfire, Longhaul, and Outback (Outback was also voiced by Dan Gilvezan). He would return to the Transformers cartoon franchise as Grimlock and Volcanicus in Transforemrs: Power of the Primes, and Stockade and Major Mayhem in Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015), as well as Grimlock in Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark, and Transformers: Devastation video games. He would also provide the voice of Long Haul in Devastation, and Lockdown in Rise of the Dark Spark.
Actor Gregg Berger has many on-camera and animation credits including Police Academy 7 and the Men In Black animated series. He has also performed as Odie in the Garfield franchise for many years, including the numerous television specials, as well as, Orson the Pig from the "and Friends" US Acres segments of Garfield and Friends.
