Grand Convoy was Energon "Fatimus" right? If so then I'm right their with you, but I would prefer a Drill Tank bot, Fire Truck bot, and Submarine bot to put as limbs with the Helicopter bot we already have first.

If the Combiner Wars toyline really picks up and we get other combiners down the line, Technobot Nosecone is a drill tank so there's 2 down. They could conceivably remold one of the jets and the upcoming pick-up truck into a submarine and miniature firetruck respectively to round out the set.

nujevad28 I'm just thinking that considering hasbro is likely to cave and make the single Aerialbot that hasn't been confirmed yet (The one that apparently died in the IDW Comics already), that would be the perfect place to release some filler figures to reference Energon.

hey baltmatrix, not sure if anyone mention this but there are connector tabs on prime's legs as seen at 4:52 in the video next to your left thumb that connects with the grey panels you moved when forming prime's combiner legs that help to give his legs more support and you might be able to make a better pose with it as well.

I just got this one, and it's a good Prime, and a okay Combiner Commander. But, I have found that he looks good if you decide to use the Super Mode head instead of the normal head. And yeah, I'm going to break out Sharpies and paint pens to snazzy up the Super Mode chesticular region. I do like how the box says that he can Super up with any limb unit, Autobot or Decepticon. Although, I have heard they may come out with the comics' Optimus Maximus limbs before too long. But I'd like the Masquerade guys as well. Combiner Wars may make it where Power Core faltered.

When you mentioned the problems with Optimus Prime combined around 7:14, wouldn't Motormaster faces the same problems when combined since they are the same mold. Another thing is why doesn't Hasbro release outside the movie - just real brand cars designs like a Porsche or a Lamborghini anymore. Did they lost their licence during the movies, if so why can they make still MP's?

Y'know what I love about this mold in particular? Because of how the toy was engineered I can just have the Combiner Head be his default head in his regular robot mode and frankly he looks all the better for it. Makes a bitching rival piece against my Combiner Wars Megatron figure :3

Going by one of the other reviews I've seen, the combined mode legs are mistransformed a bit... the silver panels are supposed to peg into the legs. Also, I'm entirely with you on keeping the chest closed, it's just a better look (plus it protects the Matrix). Maybe if they repainted Blackjack as Bumblebee?

They're going to re-paint blackjack into rodimus, and he will be able to peg into optimus' chest. The figure on its own looks awesome, I might skip on optimus for now (unless he comes out in my store before silverbolt does...) But I think that might fill in the chest area, and give him more color to boot.

Rip those dumb arm panels off and throw them away. .. add some red and silver paint to his midsection and legs... silver sharpie to the wheels... ten minutes later... you have a much better looking Prime. Paint away!

Joel EusticeTrust me... a silver sharpie will fix the wheels. The midsection details can me made to whatever you want. LOTS of molded details. Just grab a sharpie or pen and get to it. Just look for the molded details. Add some quick paint. Mine looks 100 % better.

To each his own for sure, but I'm not a fan of this Prime at all. The bulky, blocky body just looks wrong. Even more so with that super small head. Then what's with the gorilla arms?! He just seems like a forced and unneeded repaint of a mold that was made for a different character.
